Coniglio was really a smokescreen for their far bigger targets like Patton and Armitage.

Seeing you’re posting history you really are obsessed with Hawthorn. Which makes sense actually given West Coast have been thumped twice in Grand Finals by the Hawks.

Hawthorn don’t have to take Patton at all. He is contracted. GWS can keep him.

The Hawks have 3-4 million dollars in cap space to spend.

Still more than happy to take on Patton, whether it helps them or not doesn't bother me. Will be good depth alongside a developing ML and O'Brien who is finally starting to show he belongs at AFL level.

Patton will be at the Hawks don't be delusional

Don’t need him. The emergence of Lewis, O’Brien playing well doesn’t make Patton a priority. If the Hawks really wanted a key forward they can draft one with pick 11.

The deal has been done for months it is happening. Don't be salty at not getting Conigs you will get Patton cheaply but pay his salary as well. Not sure what the issue is he is a good player when fit

3-4 million? 😂😂😂

3-4 million? 😂😂😂

Why’s that hard to believe? Three of the Hawks top 10 highest paid players will depart they are Smith, Burgoyne and Roughead.

Then you’ve got the following out of contract players

Glass
Birchall
Ceglar
Schoenmakers
Puopolo
Pittonet
Langford
Henderson
Mirra
Ross
Moore
Minchington
Mohr
Jones
Hanrahan
Miles
Reeves
Greaves
Golds

There you go. Smith is on 600k, Burgoyne and Roughead about 500k. Go and add it all up brah.

Because it's hilariously unrealistic.

If a team loses three top 10 highest paid players in one off-season, plus having over 30% of the list being out of contract it is possible to have a decent amount of cap space you know.

Oh so you didn't mean the Hawks have a war chest. They have allocated money to sign 25 players.

Like all clubs.

Cool point to make 👍

I agree with this. I have been far more interested in Patton than Cogs simply because our KPP stocks need attention. The development of Lewis and O'Brien has made it less critical over recent months, but having Patton would be a great get.

He's taken the Cogs news poorly is my take.
I don't know the ins and outs of hawks cap, but hardly find it surprising we might have an abundance available.
Just missed out on a million dollar player with one of the largest out of contract groups in the afl.

What point are you truly trying to make?

More money for the new Hawthorn multicultural ambassador James Sicily. Hawthorn may have to lobby the AFL for 3rd party deals like some other clubs. :moustache:
You think Hawthorn don't have 3rd party deals in place? As I said earlier Poppy was a multicultural ambassador for a couple of years.
