Why should Davey be cited, and Shuey get nothing?

Both pushes, from bigger & stronger blokes, both enough to knock off balance, one got a free, one got a 50... both led to goals. Neither had any effect in 8-10 goal wins but clearly undisciplined, needless acts.

Yes I agree with you on the inconsistency of the umpiring. Had a big rant about it in the afl survey, not that anyone will read it.

Basically he's upset about people having a crack at Alywn Davey "cheating" last week.

Didn't see the Shuey one Slattery_20 although I'm sure all Essendon fans that defended Diver Davey should be happy with the umpiring being consistent.

I just wonder where the punters who wanted Davey rubbed out for being pushed over have gone? They must have been so incensed he wasn't they stopped watching entirely.

I made the comment that the push on Davey was worth a free kick (or 50m) this year and has been consistantly paid by the umps every week

What was weak as piss by Davey was not so much going down, but the way he laid prostrate on the ground - then poked his head up to look for the ump - and the quickly feigned death again.

In both cases the players could have put the foot back to stop them going backwards but chose not to - but that wasn't the play acting.

In any case - the 50m penalty had already been paid prior to NLM's push.

The 50m penalty was paid for NLM grabbing Shuey around the head afterwards, not for the push.

Regardless, Shuey just fell down and had a laugh, Davey the week before acted like he was missing an eye.

It would be up to 80 pages because it would have been an over the top dog act by a bombers player. This incident was nothing, just a good two handed shove to the chest that caught a player of balance who jumped straight back up.

But Essendon would have thrashed us on Saturday if not for the cheating umpires giving us 500 goals.

Suck it up princess.
