Shit dreams. Literally had nightmares I haven't had in years. Sigh what's up with that?

My house has never been so clean. So far I've swept and mopped the floor in every room of the house. Scrubbed the shower, toilet, bathroom walls. Washed the dishes. Cleaned the fridge and microwave. Done 5 loads of washing. 2 hours of ironing. Changed the bed linen. Dusted everything around the house. Might sweep the chimney next!

After the game, my house will go back to the mess that it normally is.

I wondered if you'd make it back to Melbourne again. I thought buying a second ticket was an expensive exercise, let alone flying interstate twice!

Yep, country social club membership helped for the second ticket go-around.

Stayed in Melbourne for the week, though... with wife's rellos. The Virgin Blue fiasco early in the week helped make the decision easier.

I slept like a log! Went to bed at 9:30, up at 4:30.

Now to get some work done, have a big GF breakfast and head up to Melbourne from Sleepy Hollow.

I will say this - yesterday's methodical but emotional win by the Aussie was a wonderful thing to watch. Each of him team-mates sacrificed their own ride so that he could stay with the pack. In the end, when he saw the finish line, he had an amazing swell of strength and pace that blew the rest of the field away.

With a similar kind of adherence to game-plan and controlled emotion, I can see the Pies up today.

Its currently 7.30am and im a nervous wreck. had about 5 hours sleep but couldnt be more awake. Adrenalin is pumping through my body. Just cracked open my first Corona for what should be a very long day/night win or lose.

Funny thing is, my mate just texted me saying he hasnt had a minute of shut eye either and wants to come around a bit earlier before we attend the game. Just cant wait to be in my seat listening to Lionel Ritchie!
