My (uneducated) thoughts from the draft.

1. Good to see a focus on disposal quality. I think it's a serious weakness for us at the moment.

2. Whilst it's disappointing not to get anther KP, if the recruiting team rate these guys as highly as they seem to it was the right decision. There will be the opportunity to recruit more in coming drafts, regardless of GC17. It does, however, put a bit of pressure on Austin now. If he doesn't come on, we're looking a bit thin as things stand.

3 I'm glad we got Yarran. You need players like him toi compete with the big boys. I was also happy with Wayne Hughes saying that he had been watching him for 3 years now. It gives me confidence that we've done our home work and know something about his personality and the supposed work ethic issues that the BF massive don't

What about Browne and Armfield last year?
Both may possibly slot into our best 22 next year.

I havn't heard much about O'Keefe other than that he's a Half Back (I'm sure I heard that somewhere). I'm sure there's been a run down somewhere, but would somebody mind giving me another? Cheers.

Whilst we're talking about the Knights, and more particularly Michael Hurley, I just wonder what Carlton might have done had Essendon not selected him.

Seems only right we should share it, one year you guys get to watch these kids, then next it's ours.

Although, there is still a decent crop coming through, half of Swans colts side were bottom aged. Swans are supposed to have 2 more beauties coming through next year, to go along with Kane Lucas and Mitch Marsh from the Freo way and then there's an East Perth kid, who debuted in the league at 16 this year, and he was dynamite, something like 23 possessions on debut. So with Scully, Weller and the other highly rated boys over there, next year looks OK as well.

Amazing that we had Yarran at 2. I just wonder where the club had Watts rated?

I just had to say, given my recent ban..., how stoked I am about all the boys we picked up. I've think we've got something very nice growing with all 4.

Yarran, he has all the talent in the world and I think those that doubted him over Rich are going to get themselves a right big ass whooping. Mitch Robinson- MAN CRUSH MAN CRUSH, seriously he's ma boy. Love the looks of him and I'll be putting him straight on the park for Round 1, even if others wouldnt. Rhys O'Keefe - someone who can kick the ball. His name was touted around before and to get him at 65 is a great get i thought. Hope he can find a few games this year. And Caleb Tiller, at 17 and kpp, well I can't wait to see what'll happen when he's fast tracked thanks to our development program.

No decision yet on Mitch, but the WACA have given/offered him a scholarship type deal. My word, from my best mates son, who played under age state cricket with him, is he'll go cricket.

The East Perth kid, I've been looking for his name all day, is Mark Hutchings, who looks a beauty. The Swans boys I've heard about can't be drafted next year, because they have a '92 birth date, just checked.

I'll keep an eye on some and give you a bigger list early next year.
