Not of the kind I'm thinking of, unless you include Kemp and I see him more as an either/or rather than a mobile swingman.

Martin certainly fits that bill and I suspect Williams, Fogarty will rotate through

I believe we could also use Fisher, SPS and hopefully Cuners in a similar way

Get the feeling Kemp will start his career off HB similar to Ash, then in time mid/forward

I'm thinking of a taller attacking wingman who can also play forward; Caleb Poulter seemed to fit the bill but that seems unlikely now. However, I don't generally view things in terms of seeing a spot on the ground that needs filling, I think of the players first and how we can utilise them.

Listening to what Austin had to say, if we decide to move up in the draft and combine #38 with #48 we could expect somewhere from # 25 to #27 back

I hope we pick up Sams little brother

If Sam Walsh's brother is little, I am microscopic!

Anyway we can trade up to grab Henry
We shouldn't need to. He is not projected to go first or even second round. The worry was Geelong with the pick swap, but 30 was on traded to North from memory. With list reductions clubs are going to be less inclined to take longer term development opportunities. Most clubs will let the big boys play at least another year before drafting. The Cats' penchant for locals would probably make them the only risk of reaching before us. Max Heath, Shannon Neale and Kalin
Lane are attracting more feedback than Henry, who is a bit of a slow maturing beanpole, and a more genuine ruck than hybrid forward/ruck. There are two or three other options out there, one specked by Arrow.

With TDK and Pitto as young rucks, we are in a better window to offer a development role. Levi backing up for at least another year allows some development time for Henry. He is a good prospect in his own right playing for Vic Country as an underager. At the moment he is a work in progress and just feels right for the group, and particularly some consolidation for his brother.

I will be surprised if we do not draft him. We should do our homework as there will be a good chance he will not only reach 38, but be there at 48 too. With all of our young talent developing there are not many list needs we need in the pick range so it just seems right to get Henry. Small forward is a need, and there are plenty of candidates who will fall in our range. I could name half a dozen very quickly who could fill the role on type. There are few who actually received much game time so it will be hard to line them up. Having taken Fogarty who will be more a pressure type to add to Gibbo and co, I feel we may take young Rowe who is more an offensive type and topped the SANFL goalkicking last season as a 20 year old. Ryan, Rioli and a couple of others has the knock of not working defensively before drafted. Defensive work rate can be developed, innate goal sense less so. It is time to add a speculative type.

Winder, Ginnivan, Laurie, Mitchell, Durdin, Papley Jnr, Bowey and the academy boys Gulden and Coleman probably lead the list of prospective small forwards,
although a few of them may be more mids.

No doubt we need a young "gorilla" KPD soon, but our draft picks don't seem in the range to get one this year. Jones is not yet 30 and quite robust and likely to be around for another two to three years at least, so our need is not necessarily urgent yet.

Dogs and Swans are the 2 id be looking at that need some extra points.
26 and 31 respectively off the top of the head.

I'd be looking at Kaine Baldwin as a KPP in that range. Touted as a top 5 pick pre injury. Taking Polsons spot on the senior list. CHF as a junior but I reckon could have the makings of a very good CHB as a senior.

Then in the Rookie Draft take an 18 year 200+cm bean pole who can sit and develop for 3 - 4 years without any pressures taking Moore spot on the Rookie list.
