But yes there is always room for improvement, I simply thought it was wrong to characterise Mannagh purely on selfishness when so much of his play benefits others. Speaking of umps, has anyone worked out what the Ben King free kick in front of goal was for?

That one was ridiculous. Went in the book as holding when he had a free run and jump at it. Just cymbal hands on the ball. The only, only thing it could be would be SDK having a handful of his jumper behind which you can't confirm from the TV angle nor the position of the closest umpire. Kings jumper doesn't visibly stretch and he still gets both hands to the ball.

There's really no reason why we can't win the flag this year.

Umpiring was disgraceful at times.

We're good, but brittle - especially in terms of midfield quality, and we have the worst ruck division in the league. There are reasons why we can win it, but there are reasons why we can't as well.

A bit of a left field takeaway, I was very impressed by 20 year old T. Clohesy. Played on Rowell and did a pretty reasonable job. Got 15 disposals, 4 clearances, he’s developing rather nicely. I’m putting his in front of Clark at the moment, but both need time and perhaps Clark just needs more time in the vfl.

Yeah Clohesy is developing well, agree in the last few weeks he's got some distance on Clark. 8 tackles from the young man was very good.

Probably need to look at his disposal with his 5 turnovers. A few were him taking the right option and it not coming off, but a couple of panicked hack kicks out of d50 where he probably had a split second more than he thought. I think that will come with experience.

Perhaps a problem early on for all but the best new guys, especially in the modern on ball slugfests.
How’s his disposal in the magoos?
Looks like a decent kick, reasonable vision. Probably not in our best team but something to work with.

Absolutely. Parrish was awful last night. The team is just positioned wrong also. You’ve got your best mid moved to half back to play turnover kings in the midfield.

I actually don't mind Merret of HBF due to his ball use the problem is they don't have a lot of great quality in the mids to allow him to do that really.

I just listened to the 3AW review of the game and was shocked at the commentators all saying Stewart should be banned for 3 to 4 weeks. One of them also said that the only people who wouldn’t agree would be one-eyed cats supporters. Crazy.

I heard that on the way home from the game, really weird. they even said that he hadn’t broken any rules but still had to banned.
