clement, presti, wakelin,j.cloke, rocca, maxwell, are all capable but i would like to use pick 23 on a possible future CHB. And 1st 3picks all midfielders.

Food for thought:

Cameron Cloke could be be groomed for this position. Travis for CHF. Worth a look in preseason.

I prefer this idea. I'm happy to see travis play the next 2 seasons on and off at CHB but think he has to much talent to be wasted at CHB in the future.

Not a bad idea about Cameron. With the potential forward line and with Guy and Josh hopefully fit, it's hard to see a spot for him. I quite like him and I think he could be succesfully groomed for CHB. He has decent skills and loves the contest. The only worry is his quickness and ability to be defencive. I'm not sure if he would just be a lock-down CHB or an attacking one.

Trav will play his best football at CHF.

I actually can see Travis at CHB in the future, but he seems to be more dangerous near goals. We don't want to ruin some of his career by playing him at CHB where we all know he looks more comfortable playing that CHF/HFF role.

MM said T.Cloke will be developing his game at CHB. Which is good he will learn more about the position their also imagine his raking left foot delivering to our forwards or running off half back and kicking a long goal ,not only will he compete well but he will make their CHF accountable.

I agree pick 23,37 should deffinately be used on a key back but not our first 3 picks they should be mids we would have 1 of the oldest mids in the comp and with all the draft stuff ups over the years we need to get this right.

Tarrant seems a more attacking than defensive player, don't know how well suited to the backline he'd be.

I agree but some of the best CHB's and Fullbacks were attacking players. He is fast , agile , talented ,let him be the hunter instead of the hunted for a change.

is cameron quick enough for CHB???

i still haven't given up on tex walker for a key back posi either!
Have you given up on Leigh Walker yet?

Not quick enough, nor disciplined enough.

His younger bro is though. He's a good forward is Trav, but will he be a great one? Dunno. I reckon he'd easily be a great KP defender though!
Maybe. I'd much rather have a battler at CHB and a potential free running high marking CHF which travis looks like he is (note potential) than vise versa. Than again I'd rather have a free running winger than a stifled half back or failed FF so I'm not Malthouse.

tangles, dead!!!

ur next post sums it up, rather have a battler ie non footy smart player playing at CHB, somebody with all the physical attributes who can be taken to the ball by the CHF and just punch the bloody thing, tex appears quicker than CC, would be just as strong, yeah an attacking dominant CHB he will never be, but a bloke who can take on the tredreas for body strength & pace he is

you dont play ur guns in the backline, people always bring up c.cornes playing CHB but he never actually plays on the oppo key forwards!!!! it is bishop & wakelin who take the key forwards & c.cornes plays loose, j.cloke showed that you dont need to be a great player to play the loose man in the back-line

Not sure if we can get a quality key defender with pick 23 or 37. We might have to take a risk and get Josh Kennedy at 3, a midfielder at 5 and then see who is around at those picks.
