oh dear oh dear...
let list the reasons shall we...
1. we had him raw and under sized fresh from the draft where as you are getting a ready made player
2. in his first year he missed the first half including the pre season due to a shoulder reconstruction hence only allowing for one full AFL preseason at the beginning of last year
3. We were too Fev concious last year
4. We lacked the delivery of stevens and judd last year where as this year we have that.
5. The omission of stevens and Judd last year created added burden on players like Murphy and Gibbs who became first tagged mids
6. Collectively WCE has a more experienced midfield than Carlton including 4 premiership players in Fletcher, Stenglien, Embley and Kerr, Carlton had none last year.
7. We needed to give away someone of value, and of WA origin (to make things easier) to get the deal over the line...
etc etc etc
I think i have embarrased you enough...
run along now...
Under Pagan, he was playing forward pocket one week, then ruck the next. He was all over the place. When he played a full game at CHF in the bullants he could dominate, No doubt he was going to get better with the natural development all players go through over time. As he gets stronger, gets used to the speed of the game and settles on a position he was always going to be a gem. Would love to get him back, But I'll guess I can get used to Judd running around for us.
