Would not be disappointed at all to see MDB replace Barlow, he's much faster and has more mongrel. I think Matty gets a rough time on here, honestly think he'd get a lot of games in the middle at most other clubs, it would be impossible for his disposal to be much worse than Barlow's.
Also wouldn't mind seeing Hughes getting a run eventually, as soon as his disposal improves more he'll get a call up, but it definitely has improved a lot since his first year when we got him in the rookie draft.

Connor Blakely is another one similar to Hughes. If Blakely can polish his disposal a bit he will push Barlow out.

Haven't read the rest of this thread, or any the reactionary threads on this board but here's my two cents for this week:

Go in unchanged. Last week wasn't a total disaster, we had lots of shots on goal, and lots of good entries into the 50. We also had lots of rubbish entries into the 50. Continue with the game style we are trying to develop which imo is world's different from last year. Pearce, Weller and Langdon were both good without being great and will need the continued game time to get that consistency. Taberner's and Mzungu's games in the WAFL were also not enough for me to make it back into the side. Tucker and Collins would be the only one's I would consider if at all.

@sully90Hi Sully Given your comments re Tendai and Tabs games last week was that based on you watching the people game at Bassendean or is your view based on the stats from the game as published.

Someone should tell Mayne the best kind of pressure is scoreboard pressure, so kick those fu.cking goals.

He has stated in the past he rather have 10 tackles than goals.

These days he can't even tackle, he has no value to the team.

I'm sitting out for a week after not seeing Maynes game on the weekend.

Not fair I jump to his defense without the facts.

Going with the personal insults really suits you mike.

Where did i say give up on him? But hey, if it makes you believe more in your argument then good for you!

If you didn't quite notice but APearce and Fyfe played as key forward so there are options.

Taberner had 25 disposals and 2.3 for Peel on the weekend so the week off may have given him the kick up the arse he needed.

Earn your spot, this aint the under 15s...
This is face palm worthy. You attempted to mock me via the use of the emoji.

A. Pearce is a defender. Fyfe is our best midfielder, playing him forward for patches is ok, but only for patches. In case you haven't noticed, our midfield has been shite, you think taking Fyfe out is gonna help that? Having Fyfe forward for anything more than patches is ridiculously stupid.

Tabs has ALWAYS gotten similar stats to that in the WAFL, wasn't the kick up he needed, that's just business as usual WAFL wise for Tabs.

Really? You actually believe that? Has Mayne earned his spot? D. Pearce can kick it inside 50, but not hit a target inside 50, earned his spot? Ballas did nothing last year, did he earn his spot?

I don't think Hughes is a bad kick by any means. He has good mechanics as has been mentioned and I think he reads the game well and makes ok decisions.
I think Darcy Tucker needs to come in asap and move one of Sutty or Sheridan up the ground.
Collins or Silvagni to come in as well to give Zac a chop out or Alex to play back.

I have a mate who is an avid swans fan and he thought Hughes played very well for Peel on the weekend and has noticeably developed over the past 18 months. I'm yet to be sold, but think he could be a very nice Ibbo replacement should his development continue.

Hi guys, can anyone confirm if Tommy Sheridan did a hammy on the weekend? Really liked his game against us

Hope the season turns around for you cos I really cant stand West Coast

I was watching him when he did it, called to bench straight away. Unfortunately immediately he had to go hard for a contest where they scored a goal.

Took ages to get back on, I'd say was never right, or at least had his confidence shot. Wouldnt surprise if he misses. Enter Hughes?

For temp solution my opinion is Johnson due to his back need to play as loose man. Dawson and swingman as KPD (Alex and collins/silva) . ibbo need to be sacrifice to allow Tucker and hughes to play. Grey need to replace suban for speed, hardness and vertical jump ( I see him lost out a bit here to suban only on kicking and not even handball skill) and because he is shorter the possibility of his bump of hitting head of opponent is lesser compare to suban ). Hills due to his speed and skill let him play on instict like fyfe and bennell ,free rooming between mid and defend. The only criticisms I had on Ross tactics is sometime he game plan could make player a bit robotics and player not able adapted on field when we been ambush. Richmond/bulldog game , GC 2nd quater.stop their momentum .

Admittedly I didnt watch the game, and I have had a problem with Mzungu amd Tabs for some time now. Were their games even better than their stats suggest? More importantly, is it any more than Pearce or Weller would have done?

I attempted to mock you by using an emoji, insecure much

Taberner has been useless, not even close to a relevant KPF and was dropped because of it, prove your worth!

APearce is a deffender, maybe Ross thinks he could be a forward, but what would the campaigner know right? The game was turned on its head when Fyfe moved forward and he was the only player that even looked close to winning the game for Freo! But maybe Taberner could have done that, right

As for those other useless pricks, dont talk shit as if i have been defending them, this was about Taberner!

Here go ride a ****ing :rainbow:

Ballas kicked 4 goals vs the suns

On your period?

So what was your emoji before representing? Honestly telling me you weren't trying to mock me?
Camp 'Ross knows best and can do no wrong' I see, wake the up, hes made plenty of mistakes, still a great coach, but guess what, A. Pearce is a defender.

I will, because it proves my point.

Nah, you're a touchy little twat mate.

Was talking about last year mate, where he really struggled for form.
Good to see Balla hitting the scoreboard again, as for Mayne a run at Peel may take the pressure off his kicking woes.
Tabs should replace him, he is too good for wafl, we need to show some belief in him, but demand more presence,
aggression. Must also be able to pinch hit in the ruck, you would think Hale is the best mentor for that.
We saw Alex pinch hit there on the weekend, Tabs must add this to his game. Then only one genuine ruck is required

I think with the weather forecast that bringing Deboer in is a real possibility. As much as I would love to keep seeing Langdon and Weller playing I think that one of them may lose their spot this week because of the weather conditions. I can't imagine too many changes however.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pearce go back and playing in a key position which would then allow Johnson to play that sweeping role.
