They may decide to play oxley to have ONE last look .....

Then put a line through his name

Or up his nose
Seriously mate, that’s a shit post. You don’t know Oxley or what he’s really like.

The biggest change I want to see in this game and into the future is Langdon and Appleby push away from the contest harder and faster. Both are so slow at getting away and could be costly against the likes of Smith & Tipungwuti. Appleby is still learning but Langdon's awareness  needs to improve with his experience. We should continue our Anzac Day form against the Bumbers but if they lock it in their forward line we could be in trouble.

Selection committee have been very consistent this year, predominately making changes due to injuries and only occasionally due to form.
Don't mind this so much as Greenwood adds a bit of flexibility in playing forward or tagging.

He's been playing as a forward and ruck and his form hasn't been great.
Still surprised that he wasn’t named as one of the emergencies...what happens if Cox, Mihocek or Grundy go down with the flu or pull a muscle (or two) during the warm up.
We would have to bring in a tall to replace...surely.

Mihocek trained today with the forward group during skills practice and forward during match simulation.
Seems like we are going to go with Scharenburg, Howe, Langdon as our tall defenders and only use Mihocek there if required.
Makes sense they don’t want mess with player positions too much if Moore is expected to be back next week as well.

No great surprise although not how I'd have gone. Thought Greenwoods form before his concussion and week proceeding wasn't too flash but can see the reasoning.

Happy to see Greenwood come back in. Gives us a bit of mongrel and will tag Merrett, you'd think.
I wonder if they might use him to tag Devon Smith for a while too; he's been in good form recently.

They'd bring in the Mighty Ox! An event so catastrophic that it would cause a great rift in BigFooty. The website would collapse in on itself as though it were a black hole. It's presence forever wiped from the fabric of the internet.

Yeah that seems more likely as he hasn’t really spent time in the middle this year he’s played half back or defensive forward. Pendles and Sidey have been sharing tagging roles with inside roles in the square.
I’m surprised we didn’t go for Varcoe and more speed against the Dons but maybe he’s not match fit yet after his usual mid season injury.
Go pies!

Train from Jolimont to station adjacent to Victoria Park I think.

Yep. Just hope on the Train on the Vic Park Side will take you to Joliemont which is just outside the G

A harbinger of the impending pony apocalypse.

Personally, I reckon Greenwood isn't that strong in marking contests anymore. He is frequently out marked by being maneuvered out of position....and he has no leap at all.

Agreed. It's laughable when people suggest he should play forward. Levi can only play as a tagger, big chance if we put work into Merrett or as a negating small backman. I think he's best 22 but definitely not as a forward.

Varcoe has done his hammy twice this year and went at half rat powder last week. You'd think he's odds on to return against the Eagles next week, with Moore coming in the week after. Then hopefully Elliott the game after that.
