Statistically, James Rowe has had a better year than SPP and that’s saying something with how low we rate Rowe.

SPP is not showing he’s an AFL level player and very lucky to be in the team still.

SPP averages 1.4 more disposals, 1 more clearance and 1 more Contested possession. With his extra mid time and CBAs he attends this should be much higher but instead is basically even with Rowe.

Rowe averages more goals, behinds, greater disposal efficiency, score involvements and less clangers, less frees against and less turnovers.

That’s pretty damning on SPP that he’s below that level when he spends a lot of time in the forward half and through the mids for periods.
