Changes for R4 vs Sydney

Just heard Kerr has been cited.

If its for the incident I'm thinking of, I reckon he'll get off. Elbow tucked in, very minimal contact (brushed him), and it can be argued that contact was unavoidable as Kerr was running fast while opponent had fallen over after disposing of the ball.

That said, with Kerr's prior record, they might not be so keen to let him off.

I repeat what I said last week.
Out : Nikoski,Hansen.
In: Kennedy,Mckinlay (was not origionally picked)
Matsen should have stayed in.

If Cox is out Seaby and Lynch in the ruck Hunter ,to Full Forward
and Spangler to CHB. Ebert ans Selwood to stay.

outs: cox, hansen, kerr (if suspended) fletcher.

ins:schofield (great run and carry player with good skills), masten, kennedy jmac

Well. We are gonna get absolutely pumped this week. In saying that there aren't many better oppurtunities for our youngsters than there will be this game.

Bring on Kennedy
Bring on Masten
Bring on Spangher
Bring on Jmac

Injured Cox
Injured Glass (Even if he can play we won't win so let him rest)
Suspended Kerr
Get him the hell outta there Hansen

Have we ever used Hansen as a back up ruckman? If Cox is injured why not. It seems he has the hight and the work effort and it could help his confidence.

Cox out (if injured)
Fletcher out
Selwood out (not ready)

Kennedy in
Masten in
Armstrong in

Foward line : Mckinley Lynch Hurn
Army Kennedy Wirra

People who say Hansen Fletcher Lynch or Embely will be dropped have absolutely no idea what so ever.

I don;t think we need to re furnish the whole team.. I t just think the WHOLE team needs an absolute spray like they've never recieved.

We were so soft in patches today it was embarassing, we played for parts of quarters but we couldn't capitalise.

Our midefield needs to hit up some targets.... Our back flank needs to create some run... Brett Jones can't run the back half by himself while minding Pav, FFS boys use yout F***ing brain.... Honestly it is so frustraing often we turn it over between half back and half forward.

Couldn't have said it better.

The team at the moment looks completely unsettled. I rather more focus on structure, clear roles and bit of just backing the players.

So I would hope there is a maximum of two changes.

Out:
Cox (if not fit):(
Glass (if not fit):(
Nicoski (WAFL for 6wks)

In:
Kennedy for Cox
Spangher for Glass
Schofield for Nicoski

Rosa and McNamara must also be close if any of the mids are not right.:thumbsu:

In my opinion the major thing hurting the eagles is disposal. The eagles have probably given away more goals, through poor disposal, then what they have scored. I can udnerstand this occuring under pressure fromt he other team, but most of these are just awful skill errors under no pressure.

Another concern i see is the ease in which it leaves the forward line, there is currently minimal forward pressure being applied. This is where losing daniel chick has really hurt, he was a ferrocious tackler and when he tackled the players usually ended up on the ground, they ddint just side step him.

Having said that id say.....

OUT: Nicoski (If they are going to play him as a stopper then he shoudl just go back to the WAFL), Ebert

IN: Spangher, Masten/Mcnamara

Nicoski should stay in. He is a KICKER/attacking defender not handballer(which you have enough of). Who else are you gonna have run it out of defense with pace? Now that Hurn is in the middle more...

Oh and will KERR be OK?

I heard he had heavy brusing on his ELBOW. :p

Cox out (if injured)
Fletcher out
Selwood out (not ready)

I don't know where you got Scott Selwood not being ready. I think he was one off our better backs on the day, only needs more games to get better.

Please ! IMO the Sunday Times is perhaps the worst source of football knowledge and opinion going around. The West is better, but not great either (sad that WA has such shit quality newspapers really).

The selectors would have been quite pleased with Scott Selwoods game. It was a pretty tough game for an induction. It was the experienced guys that were letting the Eagles down on the day; they need to lift a lot. You always look slow if you don't have the ball, and you don't have it for long if you turn it over the way the Eagles have been doing it this season

In: Kennedy, Masten, McNamara
Out: Hansen, Fletcher, Cox.

So is Cox out? I think dropping Hansen would be a mistake. Even tho he is out of form i can only remember him playing rather poorly in the WAFL and fear that he will not recover form playing for his state team. I agree with Fletch. I was hoping to see him step up this year but its not happening.

Would be close to the team I would select. Especially if Cox plays. If he doesnt I reckon Hansen should get a reprieve.

Dont expect to see Staker anywhere other than on Adam Goodes shoulder this week. So that could mean other playing different roles.

Prefer Wirra in defence. Waters across half forward, with McKinley in one forward pocket and perhaps Ebert in the other.

Toss up between McNamara and Masten for mine. Id probably go for Masten but wouldnt be upset if J-Mac got a game.

Id go with (considering Cox is fit)

B: Wirrapanda Glass B.Jones
HB: S.Selwood Hunter A.Selwood
C: Braun Priddis Hurn
HF: Waters Lynch Embley
F: Ebert Kennedy McKinley
Foll: Cox Staker Kerr
Inter: Seaby Nicoski Masten Steinglein
Emerg: McNamara Hansen Spangher

Thats with Staker tagging Goodes and Goodes playin as a ruck rover. Just pushes Stinga to the bench.

I do have reservations about playing Cox and Glass if they are injured though. Hansen and Spangher on standby.

That would be my team.

If Glass isnt fit, Graham in.
