Staker was very good last Saturday and is in decent form. There is no reason to drop him.

In: Kennedy, McNamara

Out: Cox, Hansen

Drop Fletcher, and why should Staker hold his spot?
 I'll give you a clue, go and watch last weeks game again. Staker was a big part of the reason we got back into the game in the third quarter.

Plus, he will be surgically attached to Goodes' arse next Saturday.

That, and he towelled Goodes up in Rnd 1 in 2007. Still probably the best game he's played for the Eagles.

I can't see Cox playing. Next week against Port Adelaide we are up against the best tag team Ruckmen so we need Cox at near 100% for that. Last year Seaby did a great job against Seaby at Stadium Australia and Lynch as support. Kennedy can take Lynch's role as our main forward when he is rucking and Seaby can play forward too. Chad Jones should be there to take Hansen's spot.

Additionally Spangher should come in or Wilkes to help Glass who is playing not at his best in terms of condition. Hunter can play forward too to help out.

McNamara and Masten should play at the expense of Fletcher and Nicoski.

In:

Chad Jones
Masten
McNamara
Spangher/Wilkes
Kennedy

Out:

Hansen
Fletcher
Nicoski
Cox (inj)
Ebert/S. Selwood (unlucky but Masten deserves another crack)

Sorry guys haven't read the whole thread but what do you think the chances are of Rosa playing this week, and holding a spot for the rest of the season?

hahaha you have two tall fwds and one tall backman in for one tall fwd and a ruckman.....im glad you are not selecting our side this week. we're too tall as it is!

Rosa may be picked for this weekend.

But he'll be in and out for most of the season.

Who gives a t*ss! He has been average in a loosing side. We need more from Staker, and we don't get it. Time for a change.

Rubbish.

Watch his games this season, has broken tackles, given us run off the backline and shutdown players who look to trouble us.

Has been very good this year and will retain his spot. Vent your anger elsewhere, Brent has been very good in 08.

Embers "The invisible" should be worried about retaining his spot imo. But Im almost certain that he'll be given another chance.

If Cox doesnt come up,

IN: The Fridge/Masten

OUT: Cox/Fletcher

Keep it simple.

I agree. Stakes had a good game against the Dockers and was one of our better players (and I am a real critic of the guy normally). He did a great job on Goodes last year (Goodes was in poor form admittedly) and I'd expect he'd be pretty confident of playing him well again this week.

Kennedy for Cox (if injured)
Spangher for Glass (if injured)
Schofield for Nicoski (back to the WAFL)

Rosa and McNamara must also be close if any of the mids are not right, or if they decide to give Fletcher a wake-up call.

Im perplexed by the amount have no Armstrong coming in as a IN. Did you see how easily the ball left our forward line in the past 2 weeks.

Ill ____ing go down to Subi and scream to my throat is bloody if Armstrong isnt picked this week. Infact he should be the first picked. We need a player like him DESPERATELY!!!

I'm on board, Embers !

In: ARMY, Kennedy, Masten / McNamara

Out: Cox, Hansen, Priddis:(:( (I'm going to cry!)

Out: Priddis (inj), *Kennedy, Nicoski
In: McNamara, *McKinley, Armstrong

Although McKinley was a late inclusion for The Fridge, I feel he should be rewarded for his effort by staying in the side. What a great debut! As much as I want to see JK in action, we can't fit him in without our forward line looking like a redwood national park. :o Too tall.

Very much agree with Embers re: forward pressure. Last week epitomised out main problem. The ball comes in and out of our F50 like a pinball. This is caused by two problems:
1) We can't hit a target inside 50 - this is the main problem, but also;
2) We have no forward pressure - McKinley was a shining light in patches of the 3rd and 4th quarter, and showed us glimpses of what we are severly lacking - players who can chase, tackle and smother. Apart from Wirra and McKinley, the rest of our forwards are useless at this. Armstrong may be the solution.
