I'll admit to not knowing much about karma's league career...but was he the kicker for the Broncos?
It's usually the fullbacks job.
His kicking style seems to carry a fair bit of League DNA..much like you see the Irish boys have a slightly different style

no, he wasnt a goal kicker, and fullbacks dont kick in general play, or tactically. lockyer was the kicker in general play and in dropouts and kicks for touch from penalties.

hunt may have had a kick here and there, but no, he wasnt a kicker. that doesnt mean he couldnt kick. darren lockyer would be the 1st choice kicker in most teams. he could drop kick (ball hits the ground) a ball 60m as a habit. thats a long way with the fat, light, RL ball.

i suggest that hunt can kick though. he nailed his first AFL goal from 60m. his second on the run, and his third from a set shot. most people who get to a 1st grade standard beit AFL or NRL have good hand/eye coordination and some power. most guys would lear to kick effectively. there may be exceptions to that rule.

he is a pretty good kick when not under that much pressure. remember the intra club game he got around 25 or so possies and was pretty damn accurate. i guess saturday showed he can kick under mental pressure, but might not have the technique to adapt to physical pressure just yet.

when hunt lined up that ball, i knew he wouldnt let the preasure get to him. i just hoped that he was an accurate kicker from set shots. i havent seen him have many. actually i can only remember one....on saturday!!!!! woohoo!!! you bloody beauty!! may calf muscles are still sore from jumping in the loungeroom!
