Game Day Round 6 vs Richmond @ Marvel Stadium - Sat. 19 April @ 7:35pm

What I will say is that Richmond in 2017 lost 4 in a row from round 6 - 10 and then won the premiership. We were never going to go unbeaten this year. Sure, beating Richmond SHOULD have been a bit of a gimme but we're 4 - 1 right now and we've played at home once.

I'll take that

Also god how good is Ben Long. Might be my favourite player right now with Rowelly.

Long surprises me more and more with every game. Some unbelievable marks, contest.

Ben Long is the Sun's best player lol

Weird to see how good he's become. Absolute A grader almost.

I only watched the last quarter but Noah seemed delusional that we weren't beaten at contested ball, then got the coach apologising for a bloke throwing haymakers at a guy on his knees and getting into another state's politics.. No leadership or accountability

This was how I saw the game
You would expect to win with what we did
We did nothing different to the first 4 rounds except miss our targets inside 50
14% conversion i50
But no Ballard really musses up our team balance by not allowing Mac to go forward, our game off by 5%,that awful miserable hole in the ground they call Marvel and a bit of hubris going in.
Young side that has basically been on the road since the start of the season
There were signs which is why I said I'd be super happy to walk away with a one point win-which in the end we nearly did

Have not watched a replay and to be honest I probably wont. . But what was wrong with Uwland? He looked far and away our best live at the game. But has not got a mention in anyones best
Yeah he was. I forgot him. On less positive note, apparently accordingly to Suns fan in crowd they could hear Mac abusing Miller when he did not kick him the ball. WTF if true.

Mac is NBA NFL generation unfortunately and he mimics the brash superstar athlete model
He probably also thinks his contract equates to his current worth which in case anyone hasn’t been watching it isnt
I’m more for the Chucky Ballard strong silent type but no doubt my boys love Mac
Great talent but as with every big first contract it’s the next one that defines your career
Mac’s contract makes my wallet squeak when I think about what Rowell might expect

I am done with Rowell if he does not re-sign by bye 😂 Clock is ticking.

As for Mac this from FB really pissed me off if true. Miller was one of good players and tried his heart out. Mac still has a lot of growing up to do. Most frustrating was that he actually improved as the game went on. I do like watching him. I don't mind his confrontations but don't be stupid and make sure it does not affect the team.

Mac wasn’t all bad, but he was very undisciplined tonight. Swearing so loudly at Touk for not passing to him that we could hear him in the stands is not acceptable. He needs to grow up & put the team’s interests first

Wouldn’t take to much from the loss if I was you

Probably a good loss to have now in the grand scheme, it will humble some of the guys like Andrews who is obviously a good player but needs to keep him composure and learn when it’s time to figjam it up

Gotta hand it to Long as well
He’s been such an astute pick up for you guys and the type of player that will be the difference come September

Well played mate. I think I will buy a Tigers membership after that inspired performance

Justice for Noah

Demoralizing loss just when we were hoping things were changing for the better.
Disposal by hand and foot was very poor.
One lone forward who tried his heart out the rest were basically witches hats.
Cannot use the excuse that we were young ,Richmonds forward line was as young as ours,
but they had one old timer who was committed to competing.
Going forward it is hard to see us beating the good sides with our current forward setup.
Went and watched the reserves yesterday and would be fair to say they were worse than the seniors.
No one there who can make the seniors a better side.
Next 4 weeks will define our season.

Im still ****ing filthy with this loss. how do you go from kicking 21.15 at a windy Barossa Park to kicking 9.15 at MARVEL STADIUM. That hellhole lives rent free in Dimmas head

3 weeks in a row the mids lose early and nothing changes in there and Dimma just hoping they get it done in the second half like vs North. 24 CBA’s last night
Anderson 22, Rowell 19, Miller 19
Graham, Weller, Flanders, Humphrey 10 between them.

Now I think Flanders should go back to the 2s for a different reason. Reward the centre form of Fiorini and maybe flatten them out, if Noah can’t play anywhere else… that’s problematic. Port moved Rozee to half back. Just try something different

But I’ll use 30 (90 total) CBA as a example baseline since that’s almost afl average
Rowell 22, Anderson 18, Miller 18, Fiorini 15, Humphrey 10, WGraham 7

Last thing, the talk of Mac. He’s playing 5m behind every week trying to peel off and still help out. While getting cooked by his own matchup. Suits a 3 key defender system, so either CGraham comes in as the 2nd lockdown tall or Mac changes how he’s playing

I think after sleeping on it and processing it I think it was a good reality check. 100% we should have won the game but they wanted it more then us and we just went into our shells and play our old style of footy which got us nowhere.

Hopefully we come out firing and beat the swans at home and only go up from there. I have faith in this team and believe it was just an off week. Hopefully a good lesson from the team to never let your guard down.

Not much consolation i know but on expected score, Suns won 79.2 to 66.2

They kicked some ball burster goals and your guys missed two or three you should have got.

That's pretty much the difference
It's one of those games where we played awful but could have won if we were smarter kicking i50 and kicking the goals we should of. And they kicked like 3 or 4 goals from 50 or outside. Everything was going right for them

Thankfully I was on the road visiting family and only had half an eye on the game through the horrible Kayo app (what a load of rubbish that thing is).

I would look up every now and then, see the ball going forward pretty well, then either a butcher job inside 50 or a lack of contest, and the Tiges winning the ball in defence. A few times they bounced it out and got goals b/c of the wide open spaces in their forward line, and they kicked some cracker goals. But it was up our end most of the time and it was not pretty.

The bottom line, with plenty of ball, we had only kicked 3 goals by late into the 3rd quarter. Putrid be thy name.

Some disposal numbers: Read 1, Walter 3, Rogers 4, Humpa 7, Graham 9.
I guess not finding the ball can happen with young players, but they are Low as in Low Low Low.

Some kick numbers: Uwland 6, Rioli 7, Jeffrey 10 but Noble 20.
Yeah, that ain't the right mix.

Super interested to see what happens next game.
This was either a bit of a wake up call or it was a cry for help....
