I'm not convinced bringing back Cousins this early.

I'd play him for Coburg then bring him back R7.

Polo should get another crack.

Nothing wrong with Gus, but he'll need a chop-out in Sydney.. And I'd rather have Simmonds as his co-partner at the moment (even though I love Patto) because he's got a bigger body.

What rubbish... Collins has played 2 games and has looked good in both of them

Polo has been our best man on man small defender, hes stats might not be to high but he has beat his opponent nearly every game he has played.

Give JON a couple more weeks minimum unless he plays terrible, he played his part on the weekend and has been close to our best in the 2s so far this year, you cant drop the kid after 1 game.

Bowden is the general out there and there is no chance in hell he is going to get dropped anytime soon, sorry all you haters out there you must be spewing.

I'm not a fan of McMahon but he actually played well on the weekend so he wont be getting dropped.

Cotchin and Cousins need another week minimum in the 2s

In reality we are still 1-4 and our win has been with our most inexperienced side playing, so lets not get to carried away and rush in the above players.

I cant really see any changes happening this week.

let me first of all say that krustyman you obviously have no idea about football an u are an absolute finkel.

i think that everyone who is saying simmons should play against sydney should have a good long think about it. the team out there on sat night had a good ol fashion crack, which is something that all supporters have been asking for, for a long time. lets not get carried away with one win, we have to think about our future an i think that if simmons isnt gonna be there next year lets put games into gus an patto. i think gus is going to be a great ruckman and will improve with time.

simmons kicked 3 goals at coburg, big woop. its not hard to get those figures in the vfl, carrazo had 96 touches in 2 games but had 15 yesterday. he should have to string a few more together which i doubt will happen. put some faith in the young guys, let them gel as they will be playing together hopefully for years to come. dont rush back cuz and cotch. and whoever said tuck and foley should be sent back to coburg, have a think about who will be under the pack? and nathan brown, **** OFF u selfish money hungry arse we dont need your sought

I think that Collins might need to make way this week. He's had two games, had a bit of a sniff and not done too bad. But the thing is he's got the body of a child and Sydney really could exploit that. All they'd need to do is put a mature guy on him and they'll effectively have an extra player on the ground.

Against a young team we can afford to keep blooding Collins. I'd even say that he should be rested ahead of JON, who looked like he is finally coming to terms with AFL standard and being a few years older than Collins probably sees his spot safe (I want to see both players make it, by the way). I just think that Sydney need to be treated with respect as they regularly smash us.

If there are any question marks over Richo, he should be rested too.

Perhaps drop Richo and Collins, maybe bring in Brown and Schulz - whoever has earnt the chance and who isn't built like a stick this week.

I actually think that Morton could do with a bit of a rocket - I didn't like seeing him not chase out of the forward line. If he has to make way for brown then so be it.

Yeah I agree, Simmonds and Cousins in, Richo and Patto out.

I love Patto but he'll get another chance soon enough - We need a strong ruckman against Jolly and hopefully Simmonds got the reality check he needed and will bounce back.

last year from memory same game we were thrashed in ruck with simmonds as number one ruck v jolly. hitouts 39-18! was a wet track though and simmonds not much chop in those conditions. also swans had everitt as back up. want to see simmo do it well 3 in a row for burgers before a recall

Coburg will have a good line up this week. If Cousins, Cotchin, Simmonds play and with Vickery improving and Pettifer coming up from the 2's. Possibly Schulz and Thursty and Raines and King who can dominate at that level.

I probably missed one or two others that have played alot of senior AFL games too.

I have been one having a crack at Jon watched the replay last night and i know one game doesn't make a season but i did see some good signs.Give it a few maore games and i might takes it all back.And WOW how good was Whitey.No changes for me this week and they will win by 5 goals the $4.60 i got to make the 8 i'm feeling pretty good about that.

I don't think there are any glaring ommissions or players that deserve to get in.
Simmonds could use another week in the twos, from all reports he had a mediocre first half and great second half. However he may be bought in for Pattison for experience to maybe combat Jolly who has been pretty good so far this season.

As for other changes, Cotchin is still at least a week away, Browny won't play this week they need to give him one more week off so he can't use injury as an excuse and Cousins is yet to train with the main team.

So the only change I could possibly see is

Out- Richo (Injury)
In - Schulz or Simmonds

or

Out - Pattison
In - Simmonds

despite the fact I don't think Troy deserves it, experience against a top ruckman like Jolly could be pivotal

I watched Schulz closely against the dogs. He was woeful. He looked unfit, and was not prepared to run and make space. At times, me and my mate could not beleive his lack of workrate. Until he can demonstrate form and committment, let him prop up Coburg, he sure as hell doesn't show much form for Richmond.

So you agree the selection committee make the wrong decisions yet you want Wallace and his crew to stay on for another couple years? Surely if they can't pick the correct players each week they really don't know their team very well at all and this lack of knowledge will lead to other mistakes in other areas.

For everyone who thinks Polo should be dropped, please do yourselves a favour and watch a replay, he was very solid and very polished in his work today and offered some good run out of defence for those who bag his run.

Simmo better not come in for Patto or Graham, both did more tonight than simmo has done all season.

Delib is right, the young players seem to have a weight lifted off their shoulders when all the old farts aren't around and play with more finesse and guts
