The two changes I'd make are obviously Hansen and Staker. Staker is out now anyway with his injury and if Kennedy is fit he SHOULD have the chance to get a game and show what he can do. Hansen has run his course and they've given him every opportunity. I'm a bit undecided who to bring in for Staker though as there are several players in the WAFL who are really pushing. I'd like to see some extra pace brought in.

Would Jmac be a chance to replace Staker.. Has a decent defensive side to his game as well as getting enough of the pill

I reckon Ashley will keep his spot for a while...

Agreed. Only once he is delisted will he lose his car parking spot.

I dont know about JMac. His disposal is too well crappy for my liking. Timmeh Houlihan is way ahead. Him and Swift along with Kennedy seem to be the 3 INS at this stage

In: Kennedy, Swift, Houlihan, Naiianui
Out: Hansen, Staker, Nicoski, Jones

Quite Simply those experienced palyers haven't been good enough this year bar Staker who is injured (has been up and down too though) and Cox needs a ruckman to support him. This game against a young Melbourne side gives Naitanui a perfect chance to get started in our ranks.

if woosh sticks by his word of rewarding wafl form houlihan should feel ripped off if he doesnt get a game, especially wiht staker being out and butler doing next to nothing the past 2 weeks.
i hope my boy jk's eye is ok, would be good to get him in against a weak defence so he make woosh look silly for playing the cornflake all this time.

No he won't

Hansen very well deserved first crack and Kennedy never demanded his spot. He played 1 very good game in the WAFL, he should be performing far better.

You are unbelievable. Naitanui couldn't even play a full game at reserves level and had little impact. No way will he get selected.

there is a difference between "couldn't even" and being under strict instruction by the coaching staff to only play the first 10min of the first 3 quarters. he was more than servicable in his 30min and will probably play 3 quarters of game time in the league side this week. probably only a few weeks away from getting an eagles call up but yeah, definately not this week!

Not really. It's a part of his recovery process that he doesn't hammer himself straight away upon returning. If he's only at that stage, he's nowhere near AFL fitness.

Notte was essentially the same in the ones, only he missed just 4 weeks so he was fitter.

He Should, who then Seaby? or do we stick with Lynch pinch hitting in the ruck

OUT: Hansen, Staker, Butler,
IN: Kennedy, Swift, McNamara

Minimum 3 changes could do heaps more but being realistic for a change :thumbsu:

He missed most of pre season though. I'd say he's more than a few weeks away from a call up, especially with the attitude the Eagles seem to be taking with young players this year.

Stick with Lynch without a doubt.

Why rush Naitanui before he is ready? Why risk injury or playing him before he is fit and in form? Why subject him to such media scrutiny when he will be far from his best?

I swear some people lose sight of the bigger picture.

Lynch has improved his rucking.

I remember him out rucking sandilands in the centre a couple of times.

If he can just genuinely contest and come out 50/50 as he often does, he'll be a handy pinch hit ruckman for us to rest Cox until Nicko is fit or Seaby gets his shit together.

He is really the only other player in the side currently that has the size and ability to do so.

Out: Staker, Hansen
In: Kennedy, Swift.

I am seriously jizzing in my pants if this happens. I would say this is about as strong a line up we will see this entire year.

FF: Hunter, Lynch, LeCras
HF: Butler, Kennedy, Nicoski
C: Embley, Priddis, Rosa
HB: Hurn, Brown, Selwood
FB: MacKenzie, Glass, Wirrpanda

Fol: Cox, Masten, Kerr

Int: Swift, McKinley, Jones, Cockie.

IN: Seaby, Kennedy, Houlihan
Out: Staker, Hansen, Hunter(i don't think he is up to it really)

I would play Seaby as first ruck with Coxy in the forward line and then relief for Seaby this week in the ruck. He has had a massive first 6 weeks and surely he deserves some sort of rest, sure Seaby has been pretty ordinary but we can't continue like this all year. Lynch and Kennedy at CHF and FF (swap em round or whatever). This should make the forward line a bit smaller without Hunter there, surely he is struggling with that shoulder!!!! Houlihan in the middle or on a wing for me, with his pace.

FF: LeCras, Lynch, Cox
HF: Embley, Kennedy, Butler
C: Rosa, Priddis, Houlihan
HB: Hurn, Mackenzie, Cockie
FB: B.Jones, Glass, Wirrpanda

R: Seaby, Kerr, Selwood

I/C: McKinley, Brown, Masten, Nicoski

Houlihan will be all "WTF! What MORE do I need to do?!"

A 30 possession game with 2 goals this week, and a few 30 possession games last week.

I'd be unbelievable pissed off.

Agreed. That said he will be next in. How good is this pressure for spots at the moment. Exciting times for West Coast.

I'd like to beat Melbourne.

That would get me excited. :)

I'd like to finish off a game after being ahead in the last quarter. That would get me excited.

It's the main thing holding us back at the moment- inability to run out games, and poor goalkicking. Hopefully this will improve as the season goes on.

I'd like to see Houlihan in.

At the moment it looks like Kennedy and Swift with Seaby a chance.

My prefered changes.
