Dont get me wrong, I definetly don't believe he deserves to be dropped. I just think it is what will happen.

As I have said previously, he is fighting for spots with Hurn, Butler, Waters and Selwood. None of those will get dropped. I dont agree with dropping Ebert or Masten because of team balance.

McGinnity has pit himself in front of Ebert and Masten, and deserves to be best 21, despite the problems it causes having one too many defenders.

I think Ebert needs to go had no impact today.

Would like to throw a surprise up for his half foward spot.

Gerrick Weedon I think he could come in and step up to AFL level kick a couple of goals and add some run and carry and xfactor.

He is one of those players that could come in after average wafl form and step up straight away like Butcher for port has.

Would be a gamble but we have done similar things in the past in finals.

Next week is the semi-final.
The week after, being the game to get into the GF, is the Preliminary final.
Easy to get mixed up though, semi-finals are normally the game before the grand final but not in the AFL.

Nicoski had a shocker today, but his form warrants another chance.

Kerr was NEEDED today and HOPEFULLY plays next week, lets hope they took the cautious approach. Priddis and Shuey made a lot of errors today, with Scotty also struggling in the middle, the pressure of finals ? Or who knows.

If kerr doesn't play next week it's hard to see us progressing in the finals. As I watched today and imagined if he was there, he would make a MASSIVE difference to the midfield. Guys like Shuey copping the tag/attention that Kerr would normally take and more often than not BREAK, allowing Shuey and co to be free a lot more. Takes a lot of the pressure of these younger guys his inclusion in the side.

Our pressure in the first quarter was relentless and I thought Nick Maxwell at the end of game interview trying to state the "wind" made the difference in the first quarter as absolutely pathetic and maybe he really is missing the "football brain"....

Our first quarter pressure was first class, but theres NO team in the AFL who can keep that up all game, and as the game went on we slipped away.

We also had lots of chances we blundered in front of goals but hopefully the likes of Kennedy etc can learn from this experience in front of a huge crowd at the MCG.

In terms of changes, I believe today we were close to our best side (barring Kerr and Rosa), so depending on how Kerr goes and if they risk Rosa (like they risked Butler) I can only see those two changes.

People underestimate Ashley Smith a lot too, his pace and run from the backline was definately missing today, Butler is no where near the same speed or running ability espically so fresh back from an injury, its a pity if he can't get up for a game.

Priddis, has done *** all for a while, all he ever does is slam it on the left boot. Not good enough drop him I say

I think Priddis has started to be phased out. He is spending less and less time in the centre which is not a good sign. Its not because he cant win the ball its because other teams just run off him so hard and he can't keep up. He won't be dropped yet though.

Ebert is a worry. He is a failed midfielder so they moved him to the flanks. He is having no impact there either atm so the last place to move him is out of the team. But if they think he is a part of our future plans then we should keep him in the team to gain finals experience.
