Wish people would stop giving this Governator guy creedence. The constant attempts to come across as some sort of definitive authority on the test team, whilst creating some sort of character is just awful. And that's just reading this board, I don't bother to listen to the thoughts of the long term unemployed and mentally disabled on SEN.

You've posted the same team about 10 times in this thread. Finch isn't getting picked. No-one cares. Please just stop. You are just awful to read.

I was just listening to SEN and some nuffy claimed there was 9 players from NSW in the Test team. He included Ponting as NSW. The paranoia is funny.

I just had a missed call from a number not in my phone, wonder if it was one of the selectors seeing what i was up to on Saturday.

On a serious note, it's time for Clarke to spend some time in the two's. And what ever happened to Stuart Clark. He had a good style with line and length that would have been handy over the past month or so.

Clarke was our best batsman last year. He's in rubbish form right now, but let's just wait and see. He's allowed a couple of poor series in a row, as frustrating as it may be.

As for Stuart Clark, he's a shadow of his former self. He's a long way off Test standard these days.

Peter Young said the squad will be on the CA website at midday
Hoping Hughes get another crack. Looked good before Watsons blunder. Was the only player able to read reverse swing.

Would like to see Clarke dropped. Hussey has to go just on age.

One needs to question Mitchel Johnson, obviously only performs on the rare occasion.

There is not much point selecting Hilf since he is a swing bowler and Australian's produce flat boring wickets.

Siddle is up and down, more on the down side.

No real spinner is sight.

Perhaps we should take the Enlish path. Recruit our players from other contries.

Nearly agree. Hussey is in form though. Still need to good players with experience to help the young players along otherwise they can be like a ship without a rudder.

Agree Hussey needs to guide the newbies....especially re commitment, as for Hughes....u r surely joking

According to 3AW just then, they were told the decision will be now delayed. I wonder what that means. Are their opposing selection debates going on?

Delayed to 5:30pm today. Official finishing time for the 4th Test.

He was already at the bottom of the pile, it's called lack of options and he had a CA contract from playing an ODI the month before.

Middle aged hacks aren't what we need, he's one if you've ever seen one. Worst West Indian team in 50 years and and he went wicketless at the WACA in the first innings and got 1 in the second. Even Hauritz managed to get 4 wickets on the WACA strip.
His record says otherwise

We get it, you absolutely hate everyone from Victoria, we accept that and gotten used to it by now but please stop posting such rubbish about them all :)

Not really, last innings, he was the only player who could pick the reverse swing. If he learns to hook more, the short ball won't trouble him one bit not that he was trouble by the short ball last game either.

Did you see his previous 3 test innings???? Test cricket is not the place to "learn to hook more".... go back like Langer,Haydos, S Waugh, Ricky listen to those who know and modify your technique. People forget how flawed Hayden's technique was at test level after he bullied his way through all levels to that point. Hard work and a willingness to accept advice led to a stellar test career.

I see nothing wrong with D Hussey & Hauritz for 1-2 years in lieu of Clark & Beer if they are the next best option, the Gen Y coming through need to earn a spot, I don't think that is what we are seeing.

Ummm - Hughes is an opener and faces the new ball. He was never in long enough for the ball to start reversing.

Pup shouldn't have played in Brisbane.

Punter shouldn't have played in Melbourne.

It's an accumulation of bad decisions that sees us where we are at now.

No doubt Clarke will stay at #4 too.
