Nobody else was going to do a better job that day than Greenwood. The Richmond midfield ball movement was the problem, not Greenwood. One out against Martin and very few players will stop him especially when your best six key defenders are out injured.

Oxley was good yesterday but overall I think he is first out. Would love Murphy to get a taste of finals because he is part of the club's future.I dont think Oxley is. Magden is a trier but don't know if he is a serious long term prospect or just depth? I thought he's been serviceable given experience and lack of support from senior players in defence.

Madgen appears to have the tools but has been asked to do far, FAR too much as a rookie. He can hold his head high and will be the better player for the experience and the support of older and more experienced heads around him.

I know Mayne isn't but he's the weakest midfielder for mine and should make way for Treloar.

Highly doubt hes a starter in our best 22 if we get no further injury issues.

Howe will come in for Oxley and Moore or Goldsack for Madgen so he has to beat the rest into that Murphy position.

Howe will come in definitely but Goldsack needs another game,I like Murphy and think he will be a good player for us but Appleby is definitely 1 of the 6 best defenders we have in the long run and I don,t think he was in danger of getting dropped before his hamstring injury.Moore I think needs at least 2 games in the VFL before I would consider him as he has missed so much football and has not finished many other matches no matter how good he can be,just my opinion ocourse.

You would think Treloar will spend a bit of time forward.

WHE has been a bit banged up, the weeks break will hopefully help him.

Maybe Goldsack for Murphy if he can play well next week.

Assume we play wce, goldsack is needed. He himself would know this could be his last shot at a flag and would be priming himself to go out 100% next week in vfl final 1. If he can show he hasn't lost much of his great asset in his closing speed, he will be super valuable in the qualifying final for lining up on JJK or lecras.

I agree with that and hope he get,s through unscathed because I would pick him before any of our inexperienced defenders be they Appleby,Murphy,Oxley,Madgen or Moore for that matter even if he is undersized compared to Moore.

Magden & Oxley aren't best 22, they probably aren't even best 30 but they have done exactly what they are on the list for and that is play a role when needed. They are an important part of our success this year and that should be noted. Howe & Goldsack/Appleby come in for these 2. If Treloar is fit he picks himself, hard to tell who goes out but it is probably Aish or Murphy, I'd keep Murph for at least another game.

I think I'd rather play the Eagles. If youre going to travel, it may as well be an interstate game. Should we lose that, we will likely send the loser of Rich-Haw into a Perth prelim. And if we win it....even better.
