If Moore isn't available for the Eagles game there could be carnage. Langdon on Kennedy is a frightening prospect.

When will our VFL side be playing next weekend? People are speaking about a Thursday night final against WCE which would mean a short turnaround for any players who might be promoted to the AFL team.

Quite right, the fact that Cox wasn’t playing allowed McGovern to roam around at will on the backline intercepting everything that came in. With Cox playing, he will have to be more accountable coz if he leaves Mason unattended, well we all know what will happen then ...

The Friday was the game involving teams that didn't travel, (Tigers and Cats).
The travelling teams, (Crows and Giants) played on the Thursday night.

Don’t think Treloar gets up for this to be honest.

We can’t seriously think we have a chance if Magden, Oxley and Murphy are in the same side. Hopefully Howe and Appleby gets up for this, we desperately need both of them this week.

If we win this game it’s huge for our season. Darcy Moore & Treloar to come back with an extra week off, it’ll be massive for our list. 2 byes in 3 weeks couldn’t have come at a better time, we need this win more than anyone!

It's time to put it on the line for Bux and the boys, pull off a win here and the finals open up for us.

Howe and Apples in.

Mids first best option WITHOUT exception. One handpass to a clear team mate or a team mates advantage then either kick to a leading (clear) player or to Cox's advantage. I've had enough of dicking around with handballs whilst the oppo backline sets up against us .

They won't be able to mark with ease and stroll out like last time because Cox will be in and must be covered.

I don't GAF if they have their talls back - our midfield is better and with Cox back it changes the whole dynamic of our last clash.

In their faces Pies, hit them hard - yes physically - at every stoppage and make them look over their shoulder before they reach for the ball.

confident we can dominate the middle and set up a win. Will need to apply the pressure through the midfield and forward line to make sure they dont get clean delivery into their potent forward line.

Whilst Treloar would be a massive addition come finals, i’m not sure all the hype surrounding him in first final.

If he makes it regarding when we play or his recovery, I thinks it’s better we think of him as a bonus. We’ve had a team to finish 3rd on the ladder mainly without him.

We can still back our boys in to continue to win before we add him as another Ace to the pack.

That gives us:

Mid: Sidebottom - Treloar - Phillips
Fol: Grundy - Adams - Pendlebury

HF: Thomas - Mihocek - Stephenson
FF: De Goey - Cox - Hoskin-Elliott

Int: Sier, Aish, Varcoe, Greenwood

The inclusion of Goldsack allows us to play Langdon and Howe in a more offensive intercepting role. They'll be able to role off and help out Madgen. If our midfield does it's job we should be able to protect Madgen. Greenwood can be used as a 7th defender or in a lock down role as required. Varcoe can go back if Greenwood is needed in a midfield run with role.

Treloar in allows us to stretch the Eagles in midfield and I hope makes our play more direct. I would omit Mayne because I reckon his set shot kicking has been poor and I wouldn't want him going for clutch goals. It almost cost us against Freo and has hurt us in a couple of games this season. It could easily be Aish I guess but I think Aish has a better game of football in him at his best so I went with him.
