Structurally the team looked way better with Esava forward last year. The move coincided with the teams return to form (prior to finals capitulation)

I sort of agree with you. Esava may not have marked the ball but on a few occasions he was able to, in the resulting scrimmage, get the ball to one of all other forwards and a goal resulted. It may have been a hand pass, a push out or putting his body over the ball for a forward to have a clear run at the ball. It wasn’t pretty but it provided a goal scoring opportunity. And remember he’s a big guy. Do any of the above plays get recorded on Esava’s stats sheet?

Very similar to Brodie Grundy. Long torso and wins a lot of his own ball after the tap.

Watched a GWS game earlier this year to see Monty x2 play.

Fonti was pretty impressive and seems to have forced his way into their starting team.

The Lorenz vs Mead-Moraes thing is really doing my head in.
I don't understand how by any metric imaginable, Mead holds his spot week after week.
I like Moraes, but have him behind Lorenz by some margin at present.

Like a few others I didn’t think I’d be saying that Atkins is unlucky to be dropped!!
Struggling to see how we’ll score enough goals. Can’t see Georgiadis getting many on Taylor. Lot of pressure on Rioli and Richards to kick our goals.
