Looking forward to the media really acknowledging the brave Ben Cunnington for returning from suspension. I am excited for him. Such a brave bloke.
He did not have a needle filled full of peptides injected into him, so he is not brave in the traditional sense.

Oh I always get that bit wrong, my mistake I heard there was a guard of honour at peel thunder in the WAFL for Leroy Jetta's return.

Just read that article by Brett Geeves about real bravery, was surprised he could write sensibly on an issue.

Will we tag Danger next week? If so, who goes to him?

He destroyed us last time [emoji24]

I'm keeping him as my Supercoach skipper.. DOUBLE Points. :thumbsu: Happy to sacrifice a score under 2000 if the impossible happens.

I'm at the point now of wanting to be beaten by 100 every week until Scotts is gone.

He is incapable of building a meritocracy and as such should be banished. We are rebuilding, tanking whatever you want to call it, yet the same old names appear, the same old flawed structures being adhered to.

We are officially a laughing stock.
Sounds like a dogmatic statement.

http://www.nmfc.com.au/news/2017-03-31/north-plans-for-dangerfield

North Melbourne will launch a three-pronged plan on Patrick Dangerfield to try to prevent Geelong's reigning Brownlow medallist from repeating past heroics.

Step 1: When forward, Lachie plays on him & just tells him funny jokes all game. This makes him laugh and puts him off his game.

Step 2: Gibbo plays on him and shows off his silky footskills. This makes him laugh and puts him off his game.

Step 3: If all else fails, get Preussy to tackle him.

Next minute: Preuss dropped.

We got 4 goals out of Goldy/Preuss last week, can't see us getting 4 out of Daw and Goldy combo.

Hopefully we stick fat with the Preuss, at least he comes at the footy when we up forward.
You must be blind. Last time we saw the Daw/Goldy combo they kicked 6 goals between them.

Standard presser.
On the other hand Dangerfield is going to **** us.
Like seriously, bring protection, a towel from Arden St and the Duck for good measure. Its gonna be on and ugly.

There is no way that is the implied message. None whatsoever. Each of these guys earned their call up but they will know that they aren't close to the finished product yet. They will each get more games this year, as will Clarke, as will Durdin, and EVW, and Wagner, and Anderson and maybe even Zuhaar. If they drop their heads after being dropped after they got a taste then they are made of some pretty flimsy stuff. Which they don't appear to be (I actually think Preuss is made up of concrete for the most part, particulary his head, so he won't suffer much in the way of mental let down).

No, that wasn't quite what I meant. I know that is not the message the club is sending, and everything they say to these guys will be to the contrary, but what I'm saying is there might be a slight undercurrent there in the back of their minds, as much as they'll try to deny it. Many players have debuted and then stayed in. They'll know that.

They main point I wanted to make is if you're going to debut someone, give them more than one game to get used it. I think there should be a policy, most likely an unwritten one, that if you debut a player, they are guaranteed to get at least two games, followed by feedback IF they get dropped afterwards, on what they need to work on. Not one game. I think one game and then out (unless it is for structural reasons) is probably hard for most people to override.

I hope that makes sense. What I'm saying is that it surely can't help their self-belief, despite the greatest and best efforts at confidence management from the coaching/psychological staff.

Disappointed for Mountford, thought he copped the raw deal strategically

You mean plonking him on a forward flank with no discernible job to do!? No strategy about it at all from what I saw.

Pathetic outs. I am not attending out of disgust.

Was going to the game this week but **** it now, sick of watching the same rubbish players play week in week out. Typical ****head Scott dropping the kids again after one game, hope cats give us a hiding maybe than Scott might wake up

Disappointed to see 3 of the newbies dropped....unless there is a clear line in the sand that below-average performances will mean heads ( regardless of reputation or games played) will roll.....looking at Thommo, Lachie, Gibbo and Luke McD.

Thommo's head might be hard to chop considering the amount of times he ducks it.

Ah well. I guess we sort the wheat from the chaff supporter wise this week.
