What were your thoughts on his game? My mates think I'm being too hard as well but he just looked utterly pathetic in my eyes.
From what I seen (online) had a decent go and gave a good account of himself, you have to understand that ball was going in regularly too easy and he did alright.
I think youve marked way too hard. Based on his game he would be one of the 1st picked to be honest.

Wright didn't even play in the VFL last weekend. I suspect he is super underone, no one should be picking him to play lol

Had no idea, I thought he lined up for the Tigers.

Started off well and went down sharply once you got to Williams.
Took a dive after "Waite (inj)", I thought.

You can say anyone had a poor game or is out of form or could be replaced with benefit to the team. No one on our list is "hopeless" and it's lazy to say so.

Hot spot- will miss a couple more

Out, Waite and dunno a couple of youngsters is my guess

In............................................. *Wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cunners and Garner ( maybe)

* said a few weeks back his injury wasn't that bad, is very close.

Just once, maybe a couple of times, i would like to see at least 1 of our mids on the move at centre bounces, who knows, maybe Goldy can direct the pill in their general direction and we are off to the races, via some quick ball movement, seemed to work well at times for the opposition last week.

You do know he kept Cripps in check in the first half and then was swapped onto Lecras and kept him quiet. Not sure what game you were watching but it wasn't our game

**** me I tell ya's Woods playing and you all be like.......

Is this is true you will be the new king of Bigfooty. (Sorry, GR. You're probably only dethroned temporarily.)

He led that in thje entire comp before getting injured by quite amargin and wasnt the same when returning.

He sets a standard in work rate and our side has that type of issue. Not playing 4 qtrs and going missing. Jack I hope to replace that and is on the path to doing so. Its not all about numbers either. But I hope he gets replaced as he is not a well rounded footballer. But he does offer something to our 22 at this point of time and if some other players can lift then it will be a good thing.

Sorry hopefully I cm making sense. Just came out of an ear operation ha.
It makes sense mate. It's just a case of one man's meat, is definitely one man's poison, especially if you're a vegan. :p
To you, he sets the workrate. To me, he's not much more than an honest toiler and has been for a couple of years; more or less, since his injury.

Well what he does do that I dont like more than his kicking (which is a few things ;P) is break chains of plays. Tom Mitchell did this at Sydney too and I saw him many of times in the GF letting the Swans down. Dont get me wrong I really hope he gets pushed out of the side by better players but I think for now I think he should be in there. But its just my opinion :)

If JZ and Dumont can lift their tackling up and over him then by all means. I think it needs to come from Dumont which I think is possible.

Maybe I need to watch a replay of the tape. I was at the game and I thought he was hard to watch. I didn't go to the game with him in the gun at all either, I was very hopeful and again I'm not ruling a line through him permanently I just couldn't pick him v Geelong, especially with there bigger body running types and how easily he was manoeuvred off the football. Then again some had McDonald in the votes in this forum I saw in another thread and I thought he was god awful as well.

Amazing how people can see the game differently.

OUT:
Waite (INJ)
Gibson (Slow / hopeless / can't kick / will be utterly useless against Geelong players like he was WCE players because he can't cover the ground with any pace and he is physically weak as well - love you still though Gibson but this is becoming absurd)
Williams (Didn't look like an AFL player on the weekend, he was scared of the football, pushed off it easily, kicking horrible, didn't look like an AFL player at all, not completely off him but we can win this week if we pick a decent side)
Preuss (Hard call but I'm going with Majak up forward this week, and for the next 5 weeks, give him time and consistent time in the AFL. Kicked 4 in a final. If we don't go with Majak then Preuss has to play as a forward. We can't play Goldstein / Majak / Preuss & Brown and expect forward pressure. Majak can give us forward pressure an a potential x-factor up forward, Goldstein needs to ruck 90% of the game)
Hibberd (Again, not off him but thought he was very average)

IN:
Cunnington (Obvious)
Daw (Again, Preuss or Daw, I'm not fussed but I think Daw gives us an option up forward)
Clarke / Vickers-Willis (We need some more pace / longer striding players)
Wright / Mullett (Not sure why Wright didn't play on weekend, apparently Mullett was best in defence and at least he can kick).
Anderson (More pace / more potential to be physical / to be honest he was pathetic last season but he was getting games off the basis of no form, then all of a sudden he somehow gets chosen in a final and he was one of our better players, had 24 on the weekend and I'd rather him than Gibson)

Can't wait to play Garner but perhaps he needs one more reserves game.
Simpkin just give him another game was hopeless on weekend but if he has potential give him a couple more games.
Mountford I thought was the best of the debutants, showed composure.
Williams? Thought he was ok, especially on the frenchman.

I want somebody to come in and get dirty and not shy away from a contest.......EVW, Zurhaar, Anderson and maybe Mullett to come in this week. I dont care who gets dropped. Establish a system and a strategy, those who do not perform are out and those who stick their hand up get a go.
On that precedent, which is sound, I would suggest Wagner gets a run for Simpkin.

Just once, maybe a couple of times, i would like to see at least 1 of our mids on the move at centre bounces

Higgins is pretty good, won 6 CB clearances round 1(2nd most in comp)

But watch Simpkin around a stoppage, on the move all the time.
