Also McGovern up forward instead of Otten so I'm a bit more comfortable with our line up.

I'm not sure if we want to pressure them into dirty ball into their F50 or if we want clean ball so at least our talls get a look at it in the air

Good to see all 3 debutants stay in, theyve learnt the setup under full heat, might as well give them a proper chance at it. Thought fog might go out for tex and still a bit worried for how gassed he was at the end of last game.

Doedee stays in in his own right.

Good for murphy to get another run at it.

In my view pretty even contest, we're furthr down on talent but at home. Hoping for a win but 50 / 50 game and ill cope if it is another loss knowing we should a fair few more ppl back in the next few weeks.

Two talls - Talia and Hartigan, one who has speed
Two hybrids - Kelly and Doedee
Three smalls - Brown, Laird and Milera who all offer something different

Think that is a more versatile line up than we had last season.

Sure, Richmond throw up a unique challenge but I think we are equipped to handle it.

IMO smith is our most valuable player.. we will dearly miss him this year. He gives us all our drive off HB and gains more metres than anyone else we’ve got..

We didn’t get beaten last year when Sloane was tagged out of the game.. we got defeated when Smithers and/or Laird had a quiet day... and most clubs by the end of the season realised that... the giants begun that final against us last year effectively with a tag on Smithers... didn’t need to for long though unfortunately..

Losing smith for us is equal to you guys losing Dustin Martin...

Yeh fair call, but you would have been ready for him being out all preseason so players are prepared to play his role.

Gooch missed time with a foot injury. We complain we don't give new guys a chance, Murphy deserves another crack at it after his JLT form.

Certainly better but still too tall for Richmond. Only one KPF to match up on yet we are playing two and Hartigan isn't in his Robbie Gray form
