Does that count as extra pay for that player? A sub who doesn't go on still gets paid as if they played the game so do they also get paid to play in the SANFL? If so, not a bad gig!
If you can handle the mental fatigue.

SANFL can confirm it will not be introducing the AFL’s new 23rd player Medical Substitute Rule in the SANFL Statewide Super League following a decision today by the South Australian Football Commission.

The Commission endorsed SANFL’s recommendation not to adopt the new AFL rule, noting that SANFL had increased its number of interchange players in 2019 from three to four, ensuring sufficient players on the bench for up to 75 rotations and to replace injured players unable to participate any further in a match.

The Commission also maintained the current rule for AFL-listed players, with the AFL medical substitute player not permitted to play in the SANFL State League on the same weekend if they are activated during the AFL match. This will be regardless of the amount of time the player has on the field in an AFL match.

While the AFL announced that the medical substitute player could play State League football the same weekend, regardless of whether they are activated or not, SANFL’s current rule does not allow this.

However, should the medical substitute player not participate in the AFL match, they will be considered as an emergency player and therefore permitted to play in the SANFL that same weekend.
Is that even a loop hole? It’s looks counter entuitive.

What’s a slider by definition when double digit picks play just as much as single.

Geez you're a tricky bugga. He was a potential #1 pick at one point then a top 5. When the Aints passed on him and took Clark and Coffield, the alarm bells were ringing in my mind. They needed a forward in the worst possible way. I hate taking sliders, there's always a bad reason for the slide. Avoid them where possible.

Name me one slider that has turned into a gun for the AFC. I can't think of one.

"on the run"

how often does that happen with berg? what about his sets shots which is most of the time? trash.
Berg looks like a b grade forward..not the worst but certainly not in that top class either. He is what i think is a nearly guy. Takes some good marks but then drops some he really should take. Then kicks a good goal but then sprays some he really should get.

The stark contrast on the weekend was once thilthorpe got going he looked every bit an A grade forward and whilst himmelberg didnt actually have a bad game, it looked b grade in comparison to what thilthorpe offered

Didnt all our picks used to be sliders? Cant believe we got x with pick y!

I’m not that tricky.
Shit happens.

He was always tipped to be a late pick.No top 10 with him.
Ok, Our first pick slider with the knee was Jake fella

Didn't work out well for us, but he's turned out a pretty fine player.
It turned out ok. Two first rounders back. He also bunged another knee, not to injury troll. He’s showing his prowess this year.

Self inflicted as we chose not to pay him what he wanted...or more likely we could have locked him away much earlier with a more reasonable offer. Not saying it was the right or wrong call but that the club had the power to keep him and chose not to

He extended with on his initial contract and then was offered close to 800 grand. That’s over inflated coin that I wouldn’t match for a not great one on one.

It was done to get him in the side

Not because we genuinely think that's his best spot.

Tex's role is Fog's best spot but it isn't available.
Fog's mistake is that he isn't in business with Roo. I think it would be in Fogarty's best interests to look for another club end of the year. A fresh start has helped many a player but he will need to get much fitter if he wants to extend his career past the next 2-3 years.

Speaking of clowns with no idea - welcome back brett
I was expecting brett / mick to have gold coast as the team supported under his avatar...he said he going to follow the team that took hollands from memory and lord knows he also spent a lot of time on the north board trash talking thilthorpe and those who rated him on here.

Edit..i was correct in my recollection

The st up in future has Fogarty in it. Why get sucked in by outside sources that he’s not worth it. It a total ruse.
He is a monster that will get there.
