No-one in their right mind would have viewed Thomspons SANFL games and gone 'Hmm, he's dominating there, time to bring him back to the big time!'

He has been terrible, utterly atrocious.

You don't get credit for undoing your own mistake when the entire world has warned you it was going to be a mistake.

But let's be honest he did play Thommo to see his capabilities his assistants who coach the twos let him know who is ready and who isn't

Maybe, just maybe, Pyke wanted to send the message that...you 21 players need to look at Thommo and see how week-in-week-out he's bled his heart and soul for the club...Play hard and play consistent!
Let's not forget Thommo was probably the most reliable hard-at-it player for our club in the past 10 years. I would daresay he ranks along the likes of a Tyson Edwards.
Let's all acknowledge Thommo didnt have a great day, probably wont be playing many more games (if any), and let's agree to move on. Respect the player that has bled for the club.

You are fixated on our ladder position, most of us opposing your (and Pykes) views have an eye on what our finals team should be.

When we bomb out yet again in the finals series with MacKay, Dougie and Thommo playing will you say "didn't see that coming, we were top all year and yet we didn't even make the grand final."

Perhaps then the penny may drop for you (and Pyke) the teams you select during the year should build for the finals.

Being top one or two is meaningless when you can't handle the heat come finals time - as most AFC supporters have witnessed over the last 15 years.

You think he would be fine will wait and see if he's up and about and back training he would be pushing to be back in the team you would think as if he had two to three off he will need to come back through the two s one or two off and he might come straight back in

Lynch won't be holding back its pretty hard to grab a spot in the team will we be unbalanced with lynch gov tex and JJ upfront

Viral meningitis is not like the common flu at all. It's basically akin to a severe flu AND a concussion (head hitting the post front-on type of concussion).
I'd expect Lynch to be back to training in another week, and maybe come back in another 2-3 weeks.

Greenwood has had his "rest", so back in for Thommo, unless they decide to "rest" a Crouch boy or Sloane. That's it.
All the indigenous boys will play in Darwin.

We don't have dusty Martin in the twos we have gooch who had a crack against brissie and was pretty ordinary we have beech who had a crack and wasn't up to it hamptons injured as is cheney and lynch. Wigg appears vanilla Doedee can't kick as he proved today, there is no way keath is ready he got pantsed by eddy today, so do you have any other ideas

That's a pretty weird question/comment mate. Him playing on this year, training hard, helping our other mids to improve...which part is the part he's not showing respect?
Bearing in mind he's not part of the coaching panel, who are actually the people that selects the team to play.
