Weitering is 195cm, Darcy is 208cm. 13cm + extra arm length is a massive reach advantage.

I mentioned the height difference but I couldn't see if Weitering tried to use his strength to knock Darcy off balance where the rules allow some body contact within the 5metre ball drop - and it's an area where Weitering is rarely beaten.

There's something other than height that's part of his craft. There's been a lot of tall players who couldn't get to a marking contest, and 13cm isn't a lot - it's smaller than the width of your laptop screen.

Griffin Logue had to play forward because we had too many key backs. It's unfair to criticise JL for not playing lobb back. If there's a criticism of JLs lack of imagination in his use of players it should be the lack of creativity with Jackson.
Also that he never considered Young as a midfielder until Joel Corey spoke up. I had assumed that Young was midfield bound when he was drafted.

He didn't do alot right either? The one memory I have of his game is when he put a fairly regulation snap for a left footer out on the full.

That’s your bias talking.

He also had some very nice kicks to forwards on the lead…

Aish out. Typical. What has he done?
Worner surely isn’t an improved player.

Hoping it’s JOM in, and Young next week to replace him. The sooner the club moves on from him the better. He’s going to get smashed by faster and quicker players. Easy to exploit

Guessing Wagner in for Worner and Banfield as sub.

Sharp to get fitness test.

Aish is getting dropped because he was only a very late inclusion, he wouldn't have been in last week if everything went to plan

Why are we surprised?

Aish. What have you done..

What did Aish do man come on

We dropped him for Wagner about two thirds of the way through last year. Aish is a dependable defender but is not good at transitioning the ball.

We’re already pretty stodgy of the HB line and Aish increases that whilst Wagner doesn’t.

As for why Worner is preferred I don’t really know. But Worner used the ball about as well as Ryan and Chapman and sat in the hole a bit against the Eagles. So I’m not sure his game was really as bad as we all think. Seems to be a bit of trend around here that once you’re a whipping boy, nothing you do is right

But we’ve used Aish as a wing/through the midfield before. Doesn’t need to be a defender. Would be good for sub if nothing else

Haven't seen any forecast, but any chance of rain on Sunday arvo up there..?! Been pretty overcast and gloomy here in Albany these last few days with Autumn settling in
