The small forwards were garbage today with their pressure.
Melbourne has 27 Inside 50 tackles. Fremantle had 4. That’s horrendous.

I thought Omac gave decent value - especially considering his so long time out of the game. He was serviceable in the ruck and switched on elsewhere. I really hope he is retained.

Yes. I thought he was pretty solid down back pre-injury. Not the biggest or fastest but fairly steady and composed.

What would you say Erasmus and Johnson are worth in a trade right now? There's a lot of the season left but I'd say pick 30-40 for Johnson and pick 40-60 for Erasmus. They're 4th year players, if you have 4 years in the system as a mid and haven't cemented a spot you're probably not going to be a star.

Melbourne would have zero interest in both IMO. O'driscoll despite his fragility has more trade value.

That sounds accurate. Johnno has improved but not turning out to be what we all expected. It looks like Ras has been unlucky not to get a good string of games and some continuity in selection but internally there has to be good reason for it (you would assume). Both will be on the table at the end of the year. We need to keep Driz.

Idk if I’m in the minority but everything I’ve seen from Johnson tells me that he has a long term future here. Biggest issue imo is that his centre bounce numbers are way too low and he doesn’t find as much of the ball in the position he plays.

Very different to Ras who I haven’t seen anything off him to suggest he’s an AFL player.

Trouble is, on available evidence you could put a GPS tracker in the ball & Coop still couldn’t find it when he’s playing an attacking role.
It makes sense to use him as a defensive rebounding player. Perfect guy to have kicking it in transition.

Yeah Johnson can/will be good but needs to be a ball hunter and work better when he doesn't have the ball, seems to switch off throughout games.

How ?

Fyfe is certainly retiring.
Brodie is definitely out.
Erasmus asks for a trade.

That leaves us with no depth for midfield.
JOM is out of contract end of 2026.

Unless we’re going for Warner, Johnson and most likely Erasmus needs to be persisted with

No, my time is valuable. If the team isn't putting in an effort worthy of me spending that time on them then I am fully within my rights to walk away early.

If the team is trying their guts out but lose, I'll stay. If the team aren't putting the effort in, as per a couple of the losses this year, I have no issue with an early exit.

Exactly the same as watching them on TV - i'll change the channel if they aren't putting effort in.
