Reminds me of being at uni when the lecturer would set a due date for a piece of work but say if you drop it in the pigeon hole by 8.30am the morning after I'll accept it, so you leave it to the last minute, stay up all night then race to uni to get it in before deadline.

Thinking about it, for the role that will be asked of this person, I think I prefer Arty in over McNeil or Sanders. Either the running HFF or even sub role, I think Arty might be a better option over the other two. Has had 4 weeks back at VFL so should have built the fitness base up again. Interested to see what they do.

Sucks for Sanders but I agree with the change as Arty will be the sub. Sanders isn't the type of player to have an impact in that role.

Garcia is simply in better form at the moment with Treloar breathing down their necks for that role.

Sanders had 2 quietish weeks before becoming a sub. Hiding to nothing coming on against the Eagles

Jones does have a bit more flair than Sanders

I like it. Unfortunate for Sanders but I’ve felt like we’ve just tried to put him in a range of different positions throughout the year just to play him & he has adjusted, played well in a lot of games this season but has just hit that form slump at the wrong time.

Arty has been looking really exciting in the VFL. Earnt the call up.

Arty does suit the sub role better.

I know it'll mostly be about form and fit, but do wonder if Sanders not extending has dropped him down the pecking order a tad too.

The last few times Arty has played he's done a lot of small things that have been quite impactful, his injuries are what have screwed him up. Hopefully he plays well and is all done with injuries for the next couple years

I like the idea of rewarding good form and dropping those with poor form, obviously it’s all weighted on longer term form too. Sanders needed to go out. Crap to to lose form now, feel for him, Arty looked good for 5 minutes this year before his injury, hopefully he adds a real good counter point to West’s forward pocket approach.

Sanders is a sensible omission. If we make and then go anywhere in finals, it's hard to see him being one of the reasons for it.

Freo's team does not look very quick... Drizzy was out of form but one of their better runners / burst speed guys and has been omitted for Young. Fyfe, O'Meara, Erasmus, Banfield, 2 rucks and 3 tall forwards. Clear where we are trying to get an edge on Sunday, hopefully we can get it.

I like it . Love sanders but he’s looks like he’s been going through the motions out there the last month. You just know artie will give 100% and chase like he’s life depends on it

it’s ruthless but I would bring in Arty (sub) for Sanders. Poor Ryley has had two shocking weeks at the wrong time of the year. Bit sad like how Westy got injured and was out of form at the wrong time last year too.
