Or maybe the bigfooty posters are right.
If coaches listened and dropped him, it could be the kick up the ass he needed to turn him from a highly versatile skilled inconsistant player.
To a highly skilled consistant player who works hard every game instead of just cruising through an relying on talent.

Make him feel unsafe about his spot.
Make him feel the pressure of having to perform week in week out, not just when he feels like putting in a big effort for key games.

We all know his talent and how valueable he is when hes switched on.
Why is it he only plays to his ability every now an again?
He hasnt changed since hes been at the club.
So maybe its time the coaches took a different approach with him.
Instead of just picking him week in week out coz he has talent.

Due to the nature of the way he plays Johnson is never going to be an ultra consistent player, but he is a definite match winner when hes on song. What seems to frustrate everyone is that is bad games are really bad. You can't expect him to get 20+ possessions or 4+ goals every game, but his lack of physicality and defensive pressure really lets the team down

He's a jack of all trades and a master of none. This is why he's in the team, he can play ANYWHERE, even on the wing. His versatility is required more than ever in the modern game, he needs to get his demeanor and attitude in the right headspace to have the impact he SHOULD be having though.
