Changes v Melbourne

Next year we will have Cavka, Waterman, Newman and hopefully Maginness all legitimately pushing for another spot in the midfield. Going to be interesting seeing how his management unfolds.
I would have thought that Maginness will be lucky to stay on our list. Given he is a rookie, we hear little about his injury(s). Anyone got views on Maginness?

Gun. Just needs some luck on the injury front

re: Gaff

Why do so many people pick on the things a player doesn't do - and try to make out as if it's the most important part of their game?
So he doesn't tackle? Good - it means he's waiting on the outside of the pack to be the release player.

You have 5 players all lay a tackle on 1 guy, and you're being inefficient.

It's not about him getting into packs and racking up tackles, it's when he's one on one and the opposition has the ball and he either just corrals (giving them time to dispose) when it appears he could tackle or he goes for the tackle and they just shrug him off. Like when Ziebell shrugged him off before turning around and snapping a goal in Tazzy.

He is having a great season though, he has great vision and is very adept at picking the right option for the circumstance.

I was, i'm flying over to Vietnam for a week holiday

Nice. Going to take a look at the cathedral that Jack Darling built with his bare hands in Cambodia?

OUT - Duggan
IN - Hutchings

Really need Hutch to do a lockdown job on Selwood. If he can come in and restrict his impact on the game and around the contest i'll consider that a win.

Selwood was far too damaging last week to be left on his own again.

Some of your finest work

Does anyone else reckon Melb will be flat after such an epic win and the bye?

Could be. Richmond had a huge win over the Purpleshite then had 2 weeks off feeling good about themselves. Melbourne are in a similar scenario.

West Coast are in a similar scenario too...

True, but I don't think our win over Richmond could be compared to the feeling the Melbourne kids would have got after the Geelong win. I mean it was Geelong, in Geelong, during a milestone match
