Changes v Melbourne

B: Jetta Dunn Garland
HB: Lumumba McDonald Cross
C: Toumpas N Jones Watts
HF: Howe Dawes Brayshaw
F: Garlett Hogan Stretch
Fol: Gawn Viney Vince
Int: M Jones Tyson Neal-Bullen (Riley)

IN: Hogan, Garland
OUT: Bail, Spencer

In terms of actual functionality:

LeCras - When forward, Garland will take him. Midfield not sure...might be let off.
JJK - McDonald. Obvious matchup. Matchup suits TMac too (as opposed to a Cloke or Darling style forward)
Darling - Dunn. Another obvious. Assuming he plays - is he fit?

The midfield is more interesting. Viney and Vince will probably both play those license to play off tagging roles that they have done so well in. The question is who - I think it'll be two of Priddis, Gaff and Shuey but it's the question of which two. Think it'll be Gaff and Shuey - Nath Jones will go head to head with Priddis and then Brayshaw will just go mental as he does.

Cheers. Here is our most likely team IMO (hard to pick the 21/22/23rd players):

In: Butler
Out: Duggan

Butler McGovern Sheppard
Wellingham Schofield Hurn
Masten Priddis Gaff
LeCras Darling Sheed
Hill Kennedy Cripps

R: Naitanui Yeo Shuey

I: Ellis Selwood Sinclair
S: Rosa

E: Duggan Nelson McInnes

Well I'm looking forward to the boys coming up here next weekend. A world first for me watching two Eagles games in a row, flew down to Melbourne last week.:)

As an update the weather here is perfect dry season. Currently 25 degree at 9.30 am and getting nice a cool (freezing for us locals:D) overnight, down to 18-20. Low to no humidity so great dry weather footy conditions.

Previously its been a bit grease after dark but it pretty damn good this weekend. Our tall forwards should have a great night out. Much better than playing in damp winter conditions down south.:thumbsu:

Do you really think you'll drop Spencer and leave Gawn to ruck solo against Naita and Sinclair?

Having both rucks in seemed to work for you against Geelong and our defence is vulnerable to being outsized. From this side of the fence ,I'd have expected to see Spencer in the ruck and Gawn up forward with Dawes and Hogan

Agree although I would like to have Duggan in the team but Butler is also needed.

Why mess with form? We aren't going that well that we can mess around with the team.
The team can rest once the season is done, as said before we are not Hawthorn or Fremantle where we can just rest players. Plus that smacks of Arrogance to me. We are a good team and although we have improved we have not achieved anything to write home about. Simple rule if its not broken it does not need to be fixed

Any notion of dropping duggan is pathetic.
He is one of the reasons we have had a good half of the year.
Otherwise we are headed back to the vanilla bland midfield.

Personally I want Duggan in the team. If that means Selwood must be dropped, I am willing to make that sacrifice.
Agree, Duncan adds polish and class. The forwards all light up when he has the ball in hand. To be honest, I would rather 15 to 18 touches by Dugann at 90% efficiency than 25 turnovers from Selwood.

Some sentences just write them self...."means Selwood must be dropped" is one of them. Seriously with a bit of depth coming now players who are out of form should be dropped back to the WAFL like Lycett has.

Not a bad game to watch in Melbourne!
Must have been an awesome trip.

After some local knowledge, if I can-
When they say "light winds" are they really light, or will it likely be blustery? Is it likely to get stronger as the night continues?

As much as Selwood deserves to be playing WAFL, he'll be in the side this week... and probably every other game in 2015.

Here's hoping he can get use to the game plan and stop slowing up the play.
