Burton comes straight back in after 4 games out, but our captain has to go back to the sanfl after a broken thumb.. hmmmmm
Burton plays a very different role to Wines, and can actually play different positions on the ground.

Wines was probably also pretty close to selection as it was, given he was first in line as emergency.

Wines is having his worse season ever for us and played his best game after being "dropped".

Sutcliffe’s supposed good game on the weekend is certainly news to me. He had 6 touches for the game, four of those were in the first quarter and the last was literally the last kick of the game to a lucky free kick. He touched the ball once for an hour and a half. Let’s settle down. Glad he’s gone, shouldn’t be back.

Should have also done Motlop for S.Gray
Motlop has to earn that chance over the offseason.

In 2019 he’s been given more chances than any other player on the list and consistently burnt them. Let him earn his spot with good hard summer preparation.

Bonner to the wing for Durs? Burton into Bonners spot down back. Butters for Sutcliffe.

That’s my prediction. However if it was up to me I would be going Motlop instead of Butters.
Nailed it!

My extra would have been lycett for ryder but happy with the changes....

Now let's get the job done!

9 goals across his last 2 games is a good effort. Gets another bag he must come back in.

He’s been moved around a lot this year and would like to see him in as a forward with a proper forward structure and talls.

Motlop is a far superior player to Sam Gray.

Motlop is no chance to play again this year. You burn your second chance, you’re done.

He can help the Magpies win a flag. He plays like a guy who thinks it should be just handed to him.

Nah, he’s deep in the hole when it comes to finding form.

He’s been moved around a lot because his form has been so poor.

Not in 2019 and maybe not again.

Woodcock has kicked 4 & 3 goals in a couple of recent SANFL games. Would rather give him his first chance in 2019 instead of Motlop his 15th or so

Can’t believe it but Janus I totally agree

Motlop has huge potential and is great when he's on, that's not the issue. He's been lazy defensively and timid for most of this year. That's not something that get a fixed from a couple of sanfl games.

Hinkley's credibility would be absolutely shredded if he brings Burton back without a run in the sanfl.

He must stick to his policy as with Ollie.
No I don't agree AT ALL!!

Two different situations. Ollie has has a shocker of a year ... Interrupted preseason, constant injuries, zero continuity, and had very average form, at best! Versus Burton, who has been consistent, solid, and really building form. IMO the Wine's call was an excellent one, serving a strong message to the players.

With Burton, he is being rewarded for good form and continuity. If he has trained well and is fit ... Straight in.

I want Hinkley gone, but I am just sick of the petty hate that is constantly being spewed out here!

I agree. He’s dropped the Val with structure at the selection table, BUT he’s definitely held players accountable to form. He did protect Motlop and Westhoff longer than they deserved.

However our plan is close, accountability is high, he isn’t that far off if he continues to support a taller forward linens reward form.

Kilmer?

Sam Gray is on 4 goals in 5 games, is more or less worthless in a tall forward structure and quite frankly is completely useless if he isn't he lone forward one out of the goal square (this method also concedes a record number of defensive marks I50 for the opponent).

He is top 3 in our AFL history as having the shiniest gold pass.

But still more valuable than Motlop this year. I’m not against dropping Sam but at least bring in someone who hasn’t wasted umpteen chances this year
