Out: Porter, Gowers
In: McLean, Lloyd

I can't see us going for four or five changes like some in here are suggesting after a win.
I agree, and I don't get why people are calling for changes down back when we have kept the Suns to 46 points and the convicted drug cheats to 51. Backline has looked solid. Defence is not where we are currently having challenges.

After getting a chance to watch the game really only 3 players would be looked at from a form point of view:
Gowers
Weightman
Porter.

Otherwise will depend on injuries and time management.

Given Schache did not get through the scratch match not sure who is ready to go to come in

In: Jackson Trengove (Tom Lynch match up)

Out: Billy Gowers

Cannot sit back and invite pressure against Richmond, must present some kind of forward structure. Any other changes don't matter
as much as the Trengove one which is purely structural.

Can't see us going that tall down back when richmond still have several small quick pressure forwards plus Dusty to throw down there.

You missed the announcement. Not only is the fixture condensed but so is the selection melting period and losing melting period.
Don't be so sure. People are still melting about team selection from Thursday night.
Also it may be condensed but probably just makes it more concentrated

I would challenge the comment with regard to Weightman. First half was very quiet yes, however he had two legitimate shots on goal in the third which was more than about three of our forwards combined. It was his second game and I'd be happy for him to stay in.

Can we do a poll on the ins and outs? Players and numbers. I can feel a new competition coming on.

There shouldn't be any surprise a small forward is inconsistent, let alone a rookie. He needs to be in for those chaos opportunities even if they only happen once a game.

Dale will depend one injury.

I expect changes will be more about rotation.

But if he is unavailable then:

- Lloyd for Gowers
- LeYoung for LaYoung - if we are going to play him at FF then Lewy much better.
- rest English for Sweet or Trengrove - is time put some development into Sweet but also Trengrove seems more deserving and I would play him against bigger forward lines (would have played against Carlton)
- McLean must come back in - and rest Libba - he has been brilliant but Bevo mentioned he may need a rest and this is probably a good game for it
- can only expect Porter came in to give home a taste and a rotation - and would bring in West. I like giving guys a game to ensure we develop a deep list - this is really going to help

I would be happy for him to.stay in, given there is no VFL it is harder for younger players, simply he had minimal impact and would need to be looked at picking the best 22 against Richmond

Tigers board mostly seem confident they'll accoint for us easily. One even resorted to posting scores of our loss to Carlton. Big game for both teams, an old-fashioned eight-point game imo. Win this and pinch Port and/or Lions games and we have a really good foundation to launch for top 4.

Reading some comments from Bevo and Keath about Gowers, I have a feeling he will stay in.

Might just be they’re trying to quiet the noise about him, but both were positive about his save for that kick.
Woohoo! Gonna stock up on popcorn for the team announcement on Tuesday. :)

Richmond’s backline is the best in the league.

Bruce really struggles when he is the only tall forward, so god knows how he’d go up against their defenders. For this reason I’d bring Schache back in

IN - McLean, Schache, West,

OUT - Gowers, Porter, Weightman

On McLean, it's possible that each of Libba, Macrae, Bont and Smith might require managing over the next 3 rounds. 3 games in 10 days and 2 of those games against top 2 teams.

If you had to choose a designated hitter midfield replacement for 3 games in 10 days where dunkley and jong aren't options and doubt over hunter persists.....

McLean may be earmarked for a special assignment

Fergus Greene. Any news on him? Thought he was going to make it two seasons ago, I know he was injured all of last year, but where is his career at?
