You have Woman Hands?Hands Oval = The Get Your Off My Woman
Yeh that philosophy has served us well at Marvel. We know the ground now after playing there this year
North by 3 goals

I missed the "r"....thought you were booking making it after the "safe bet" reference,,,,was going to ask what odds you're offering!!!Nice mid range estimate, safe bet, but I’m still bookmarking it and hope to pull it out when Banch plays his 200th![]()
We don't handle expectation well, so should be a close game unfortunately. They looked decent against Geelong.
Were down by about 30 odd points in the first, but came back strong.
They did a typical North 4th quarter fade though. The 43 point margin doesn't quite tell the story.
Was talking to a mate of mine, I said this is actually a game that I'm nervous about. He asked why, its only West Coast. I said because it's a game where I have somewhat of an expectation to win. We don't have that expectation much these days.
Won't be a walkover or an easy game. I highly doubt it's gonna be a 5+goal difference if we win.
Thinking back wistfully to Xerri's rundown of Ryan last year, gosh I loved that moment - "step for step, terrific stuff!"Liam Ryan in doubt for the game
Sorry, has there surfaced a new iteration of North I'm unaware of? Because the North I know would be up by 34 and win (or lose) by 5At one stage we will be 34 points up and we will win by 16.
I'm not that worried. But the last time I wasn't that worried about this mob, Rhett Bazzo was one of their better performers, we didn't turn up until the last quarter, Sheezel had a clear goal disallowed, and we remedied their (AFL/VFL record) streak of 12 40+ pt losses in a row, including four by 100+.Tipping the Eagles for this one.
Simply don't trust us to do what we should.
Since the beginning of 2021 in WA: 3W 3LI'd have no problem seeing this as an easy win for us at Marvel (even with our consistency issues). Just wish we didn't have to play a "home game" in ****ing Perth because that makes it more of an even contest (I get why we have to do it, but it sucks from a football perspective).

Eagles not wanting to take any risks with the #1 pick. Smart.Liam Ryan in doubt for the game
They locking him in.Eagles not wanting to take any risks with the #1 pick. Smart.
This all happened last year but ...Come on. The umps didn't allow three goals after the 30-minute mark, we did. It's why Clarkson tore strips off Comben and Corr rather than the umps.
And then in the reverse fixture, we choked a five-goal lead in less than a quarter. Yeah, we won by 9. Do we win if Jy isn't awarded that bullshit free? Based on my observations of our mental fortitude, nope. Possible, but the opportunity was given to us on a platter. West Coast's win in Tassie was not given to them on a platter. We just happened to implode
Just watched it back. No bullshit calls. Cripps got a foot to that kick. The closest thing to a bullshit call is the fact it took the ump an eternity to call htb on Duggan, but Jy still had the presence of mind to give the handball and provide an i50 opportunity... which we failed to mark. This all happened last year but ...
There were bullshit calls in that last three minutes. There were also multiple calls during the game that shifted momentum including the non free to Chom for front on contact that cost a goal in the last minute or so of the third quarter.
So we won game because of umpires and lost another because of umpires. or we won one game because they couldn't finish at the death and we lost another because we couldn't finish at the death. You can't say one of those situations was us choking and one was the umpires unless you are insisting on viewing everything that happens with us thru the most negative lens you can create ... and that is very unhealthy.
(THere was also an eagles supporter in the crowd who was behind the bench yelling that we were gonna choke for most of the second half and that just built momentum against us. At the time I wanted to shut him up but had my kids with me so I couldn't really do anything. If I'd been on my own it might have been worth starting a fight. It would have shut him up at least or maybe got us both kicked out. You could see the effect his comments were having on the boys on the bench. He was the one sowing the doubts in their mind. Take him out halfway thru the fourth and we'd have won.)
WE stood up to everything Richmond threw at us and didn't choke - for all their weaknesses they put shitloads of pressure on us (as they have on other teams) and we didn't crack. We would have after the WC game last year.
What a contrast to what melbourne is in for. Something tells me the players may enjoy going to perth.Captains Run Saturday 9-11am at Hands Oval.
Weather should all be clear by late Thursday. Fine and 20 degrees forecast for game day![]()
As long as we are in it for 3/4 then that appears to be the bench markAre we still making progress if we lose this game?
