I was going to say Freeman in for Sidebottom, but sounds like he's got a couple of things to show McRae first. BenKen or Broomy for Steele in that case. Steele is a massive out for us though. :(

Agree that at Etihad, another tall might be desirable. That said, I thought last night was the best Cloke and White have combined, and putting Gault in for a small robs us of some speed. One of Oxley or Ramsay to make way if required.

I'd like them to retain De Goey as the sub next week.

People....

Reid will NOT play next week!

One change for mine. Kennedy in for Sidey

I would like to Gault come into the team but it depends on if Witts is ready to go I was not impressed by white last night and I would prefer Witts or Gault in the team ahead of him.
We will miss Steele if he does not come up either him or Langdon were our best last night.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the club is not being totally honest regarding Reids injury. From memory he hurt his calf sometime around X-mas and we were told it is a minor thing. 15 weeks later he is still not playing due to "general soreness" My gut tells me there is more to this. Then again my gut also told me we would lose last night so maybe I am just jumping at shadows.

Except he has played a couple of practice matches and both Balme and Bucks have repeatedly said they are not going to rush him

Sorry did you say something. All I saw was that bloody sig. How many times do I have to tell you not to reply to my posts :)
Thats it I am done. I won't be able to get that bloody song out of my mind now for the next 24 hours now.

I thought that was maybe White's best game for us. 7 marks, 5 shots on goal (would be better if he'd converted one or two more, but equally can't recall any howler misses), made good position and worked well with Trav.

White was excellent-what game were you watching?

Bucks has a horses for courses selection policy. Brisbane was hot humid and WET not ideal conditions for big men. This week under the roof in dry conditions it is much more suited to the big men. Either Witts or Gault will come in, Witts would be first choice IMO if ready. Replacing Steel

De Goey back to the twos if only to get actual game time, not sure who played well in the twos this week but would preference BenKen or Seedy to replace him.

I think they were bad misses by quite a few tonight including Steele and Elliott and that miss by Varcoe in the last was diabolical if he had kicked it it woulld have stopped their run.
Even a point would have been enough as they would have had to score 3 goals and in those conditions a big ask.I was not overly impressed by Varcoe last night either but I would take Crisp every day of the week.
I loved it when the boys gave it to Beams I am F------ glad he has missed our bus the prick, there are ways to leave a club and there was his way.
Getting back to White he has to kicked those goals we have 1 Trav in the team we cannot afford 2 that was why Varcoe,s miss is so costly we just have nail those chances.
As I said I would prefer Witts or Gault in the team for the long run anyway but it was a great win and the players had a hand in it.
I am absolutely delighted we stuffed Beams in his 1st match against us and he had no impact in the match at all he is an elite player no doubt we have seen that but we F---- him last night.

Beams game was interesting. My only ever criticism of him for us is that because he plays so low in the congestion he tends to find and dish out backwards too much when we had Ball in there. Felt he could have played slightly more outside to break and kick. Last night he was totally inside and dishing backwards and was pretty ineffective for the most part.

I was at that match last night and as I said earlier I was not happy he went off in the last qtr he should have taken that mark he dropped when he came off injured the team was really under the pump when it happened.
There are times in matches which I really notice and that was 1 of them as was Varcoe,s kick for goal it would have stopped their momentum completely I for 1 notice those things.

A lot of people think Swan was good last night but I have an exact opposite opinion on that but it was hard conditions and ALL players put in to get the win and I will take that any day.

I thought White was good aswell and I'm probably up there with the biggest White critics.

He did some decent things in the final term aswell.

In- Seedsman(if ready), Gault & Broomhead

Out- De Goey, Ramsey, Siddey

Exactly what I'd suggest. I worry that it might make our forward line too slow but if Cloke plays further up the ground I think it can work. Grundy isn't ready to ruck a game out yet and when White went into the ruck our forward structure didn't seem to work.

Clearly Blair has to be out, doesn't matter who comes in we just need Blair out. Isn't that right?

Yep sure is, the same as Kennedy has to be the automatic in every week

I'm a bit perplexed at the deepness of love which Kennedy attracts, and I find it curious that BenKen would strike people as a natural and ready replacement for Sidey. Of course, we don't have anyone who can so what Sidebottom does, and he proved his value last night most emphatically. However, among the handful of players who might be called upon to step up, BK to me seems one of the least likely. His VFL form has been reportedly very average, even though I didn't see the practice match yesterday. What I have seen of BK comes from the admittedly warped world of NAB footy, and the young man was very underwhelming.

I know that he's determined, that he works hard, that he cares about his team, but all of the best intentions and best efforts won't stop him from getting bumped from contests too easily, or from making terrible decisions when he magically finds himself with the ball. At the moment, I'm a BK sceptic. I hope he shows me up, and if he lights it up in the VFL this year (as he's done in the past) and then makes the jump with some style (which he hasn't done yet), then I'll be as happy as anyone.

For mine, Broomhead is a better prospect than BK. He's shown a bit more, albeit in only flashes. He does have some poise and some class, and the club (unless they think that he'll be taking the first available bus back to Adelaide) should give him his opportunity to develop. He had one disappointing NAB game (can't remember which), but I recall him doing well in another, and he played well yesterday. This year is still a development year for us, and the Broom is one for the future.

Out: Ramsay, De Goey, Sidebottom
In: Seedsman, Gault, Dwyer
