Prediction Changes vs. Brisbane

I think we'll have to wait to see how tomorrow goes before making decisions on the Ins.

At the moment though based on last week's SANFL game

IN: Monfries, Houston, Atley, White, Howard,
OUT: Impey, DBJ, AhChee, Toumpas, Hombsch

Would love to know whose playing injured. I'm sick to death of watching Hartlett and Pittard running at half pace in fear of pinging a hamstring. Wines hasn't looked right since his early season form. R Gray is nowhere near the player of the past few years and has basically just replaced Neade as the small player we kick long to all the time.

Trengove down back, and don't come back.

Time to play Palmer, Atley and Drew. The team has stagnated and has started to regress back into their shit non-competitive ways because once again Ken has put too much faith in them and they know if they put in a crap performance they'll be backed in the same way they were when they pussied out against the Hawks.

Every time we let Gray play that way, it erodes our culture, and it erodes his mentality. Enough is enough. Stop with the excuses and stop with the "he's not injured"

If he isn't injured, then he's been inexcusably deplorable defensively and just by his actions on the field.

Ah Chee, Byrne-Jones, Impey, Hartlett, Pittard, and Toumpas (who, again, was not our worst) deserve to be omitted.

The coaches will only consider omitting Ah Chee and Toumpas.

They will promote Young and Neade, despite knowing what they offer at AFL level.

We will beat Brisbane, with the two players above putting in an average performance.

The coaches will not change a winning team.

The likes of Atley, Drew, Eddy, Houston, and Monfries will continue their irresistible SANFL form in vain for another week.

It is all too predictable.

But we just conceded the AFL record for goals from turnovers...
He's 3 deep in the queue to play half back, yet he's a QUICK, explosive line breaker who would thrive on the wing, who'd add pace and a good kick to our side.

It's not like Toumpas on wing, or the high half forwards in Impey, S Gray, etc are any better by foot. In fact they're probably worse.

I'd love to be as sure of winning X-Lotto as I am that Pittard is saving himself for a long term offer elsewhere.
He has gone at less than half rat power this year!

Ken must make a selection statement this week.

Hartlett, Pittard, Trengove and Toumpas out
Houston, Monfries, Eddy/Howard, maybe Drew/Atley

Can live with Trengove staying in as long as he goes nowhere near the forward line....

Also if Wines isn't announced captain next year I will be spitting chips.... Boak has too many insipid performances for a captain...

Too many passengers

What Essendon did to us through the midfield is completely unacceptable. On tv it looked like a pre game warm up drill amongst Essendon players. Everytime they got a chain of handpasses we were miles away from our opponents. We were fine in clearances , it was just as soon as the dons got the ball out they moved it effortlessly through the middle.

I don't know how much of it was poor midfield positioning and coaching and how much was lazy and stupid footballers. Must have been a bit of both to be sooooo bad.

Dons also moved the ball from half back with pinpoint accuracy by foot ( also easier because they had players standing 80m in the clear) while we had to kick out to a pack near the boundary time after time.

Out - players who didn't cover their opponents

- players who can't kick

In - defensive minded players

- players who can kick

In truth we have some good defensive mids coming through in atley and drew, both are two of the better accountable mids I've seen come through for us ever. But do we have good kicks? Not many. I would trade unmentionable things for Zach Merret.

Out . The Toump . I just don't like him in the team , he's not strong in the contest and he does some really slow kicks when we need a fast beak .
Out . Pittard like MagpiesPower said ... He's not there .. don't know what it is , Boakys a bit the same but he's just doing enough , sad he seems more of a bit player though at the moment .
Out . Trengove. . Love him but he doesn't bring enough at the moment .

In Palmer , Atley and Marshall .
Might Change my mind tomorrow though lol

I am in the like to see Trengove in the back camp. choose whom you please to go out from the back seven.

DBJ I think is in trouble.

Might be time to bring Monfries back for a while. Robbie Gray may just need a rest.

Now, we need a tall forward to come in FFS. WHOEVER IS PERFORMING IN THE SANFL most likely Eddy at this stage. But we will have a problem with fitness as his TOG will not be big.

So we need a player with a bigger tank come in for one of SPP, Toumpas or AhChee. Palmer is interesting, but I do not know how big a tank he has.
