Hartlett should get a chance, as he did play a blinder last week, and I'd rate this as a blip.

People need to realise the times Hartlett plays as well as he did last week are the 'blips' of his career & that piss weak efforts like tonight are basically what he's dished up for the better part of the last 2 years.

Salopek mkII but at least Sal had the excuses of an injury ravaged body & the mental scarring of 119, Sal also used to be courageous as hell HH on the other hand squibbed several marking contests hard tonight.

Hartlett and Pittard have had more horrible games than good ones this year.
Tonight was the norm for both and the rest of the side wasn't covering, because our semi tall players were hard up just trying to cover talls.

I don't see a place for either at the moment, but then again I'd have a full back instead of another flanker.

I could justify all of those except Hombsch. He has been a pillar in defense for many games. ****, one game man.

He's 3 deep in the queue to play half back, yet he's a QUICK, explosive line breaker who would thrive on the wing, who'd add pace and a good kick to our side.

It's not like Toumpas on wing, or the high half forwards in Impey, S Gray, etc are any better by foot. In fact they're probably worse.

Does he actually play wing at SANFL though? We keep bringing in players into the AFL and play them in a completely new position.

Unfortunately there are too many Salopek and Pettigrew types getting regular games under the current regime, reasonable, to even good against mediocre teams, but guaranteed to go missing every time the oppo turns up the wick.

The real joy would be if there is a Lonie mk 11 waiting in the wings, then our cup would really runneth over.

No way Drew and Howard are ready for AFL. We play that team and Brisbane beat us.

It will be interesting to see if Ken has the intestinal fortitude to do a Beveridge and drop an underperforming senior player like Hartlett or Pittard.

Boak has to go back in the middle and bring some pace back across half forward. Aidyn Johnson perhaps.

Bring in at least Howard to give us some flexibility with talls.

I said last week I would like to see Bonner given a chance in the Amon role.

Shake it up a bit so the senior players know that if they don't set the tone then they are under the pump. You know really, not nudge nudge wink wink you could be in trouble.

Because he doesn't play wing, but it's time to make the change, just like we did with Houston. Sometimes it's clear a change needs to be made to get talent like him into our best 22.

Full list to pick from & Ken couldn't even answer the question of "is this your best 22" that was asked pre game, it's times like that when he can't give a straight answer that make me think even if we had everything go right for us we'll never win a flag with this guy at the helm.

Whilst he continues to play guys out of position just to squeeze them in the best 22 Sam Gray, Boak (is best 22 but not as a forward), Hartlett & Trengove (same as Boak) we're going to continue to minnow bash scrubs but fall short against the quality sides.

Howard is serviceable in the SANFL, has yet to star in a game. Has yet to kick 3 goals in a game.. He is still learning his craft, he is a player of the future, unfortunately not right now

He's playing key back. Replacing Hombsch at the moment isn't an unrealistic option. We are too small back there and he may well be better than Hombsch at the current rate.
