After thinking all week here's what I'd like to see.

Young for Achee.

Young to the HFF, Boak to the middle.

Howard for Hartlett

Howard to FF, Trengove to CHB, Hombsch to loose man in defence

Atley for Toompas.

We might lose a bit of outside run but we gain a genuine footballer and a competitor.

Neade for Robbie Gray.

Robbie either needs a rocket or a rest. Either way our structure is better with Howard as a marking target and Neade as a crumber than Gray trying to do both. He can stay out til he is capable of being a high half forward.than gets up and down and runs and chases and pressures.

Actually this is very good

Even the Robbie part if explained purely as a rest for him not a form thing.
Trenners back will make us taller
And I actually think Young would do a better job in Boaks current role and yeh lets put Boak back to whete he was one of the best and can better influence games

Neade has a bit of outside speed too when he drops back

Defensive pressure has been an issue. Look too slow with Boak and RGray as our smalls. Don't mind the idea of Neade coming in.

I'd persist with AhChee in the middle as well. He's at a a point where we either persist or delist. Reckon he has enough weapons and the body shape to persist.

Gee our recruiting has put us in an awkward position.
We have a bank-up of young talent waiting for our mid to late termers to finish their careers, so they can get their opportunity.
Those mid to late termers are all, on their day, of AFL quality, but its the "on their day" bit that is creating the dithering.

This, along with the particular brand of stoicism and devotion that Ken exhibits. Ordinarily I respect those traits in a person, but its the size and extent of those acts of honour - in terms of the number of players he supports by these behaviours - that generates much justified impatience on my behalf.

I guess I'm just mumbling the same thing as everyone else.

Yet Monfries has only averaged 1.2 a game, had a terrible 2015 and yet everyone reckons he's the answer to all our problems and would be calling for him as an in if he didn't get injured. Neade is still young and in my opinion still has time to improve, he's earnt a spot based on form in the Maggies.

I think Atley should get a call up as well, but he's not the same kind of player.

Pffft. Neade isn't fit to tie Monfries shoelaces as small forward. His shtick is pressure moments period. Not enough.

We don't seem to have a positive attempt at changes (being on the front foot keeping players on their toes), rather nothing more than blind faith in the usuals who hold their spot with some tinkering around the edge...... We need to be more ruthless at selection table, it will help in Ken's undoing if he doesn't.
