Is Neeld conceding that he erred with selecting Rodan?

Its not a big deal as we have grabbed some delists cheap and we are not expecting them all to work out but it seems that Rodan has fallen out of favour quickly after getting a start in the midfield.

I like Jamar out and must admit I didn't expect it from Neeld. Let Gawn have his way in the ruck. This makes a big statement too.

I've always had a suspicion that Rodan was never really brought in for match-day. Apparently he's a good head on the training track.

Just read Jamar is injured apparently.

Either way. It will be nice to see how our ruck functions without him. Good opportunity for Gawn and Spencer.

Don't disagree with that. I like Jamar and he's still our best ruck imo, but time is ticking on him so I'm keen to see it too.

The thing I'm starting to like about Spencer, is that he is starting to realise that he's bit like a brick sh*thouse, and can really impact a contest (by impact I mean bury people into the ground). If he could kick, he'd be a decent ruckmen, I haven't lost faith in him yet though.

Spencer and Gawn won't end well, just not mobile or experienced enough.

Would personally have put Gawn in the ruck and Fitzpatrick at FF, Spencil and Maximum seem to similar.

Not sure why Jack isn't 'ready' for AFL football. Played well last time he was picked.

Not sure how spencil and Gawn aren't experienced enough but but you think Fitzpatrick should be ready when he's the least experienced of all 3. Gawn has been good for us so far but his ruck work hasn't been up to scratch or as good as Jamar, while Spencer's ruck work in the VFL has been outstanding and has had a better season so far than Fitzpatrick. Think it makes sense that spencer takes Jamars role while Gawn stays forward and gives him a chop out.

Spencil did ok last year when Russian was down, he's pretty quick for a guy that size

While I wouldn't have been against Fitzy getting a run after good form last weekend, his last game against Freo wasn't what I would call a good game. He didn't crack double digit disposals and kicked a couple of goals in a smashing.

If Jamar has been carrying that groin injury a bit all season it would explain a lot in terms of his apparently reduced output so far. Problem is that groin injuries can be tough to get over.

Watched League Teams on FoxFooty last night and they did an interesting analysis of Frawley and how he’s really slowed down this year. Looking at what you said about Jamar carrying an injury, I can’t help but wonder if the same is true with Frawley and why he seems to be pretty woeful at the moment.

What they always forget to factor in is that our midfield is so poor running the other way that most of the time the opposition players have acres of space and time to hit a target. Worst job in football playing in our backline. Doesn't excuse the fact that he isn't playing the best footy of his career, but it isn't exactly easy playing down there.

I reckon he is also missing Rivers' presence down there and T.Mac's yet to hit his form of last year so would be even harder back there than usual , if thats even possible .

Frawley hasn't slowed down, he's just not trying as hard.

In the last quarter against Essendon he showed the intensity he can play at (where him and Garland were good), he's reproduced that rarely this season.
