Changes vs Carlton

I reckon our backline functions a lot better with Schoey in the team. He's got a tonne of experience and takes the opposition's best forward, allowing Gov and Tb to be a little more freewheeling. I'd feel more confident taking him into the finals than any of the others who're pressing for a spot, and I think our best back 7 at the moment would be: Hurn, Tb, Gov, Jetta, Duggan, Schoey, Sheppard.
Yes i agree, Schoey plays real tight and i feel more comfortable he does not zone off. He runs hard and has good skills

NAh he'll stay in the side and get Casboult this week.
At this stage I think we will be looking to stabilise the team as much as possible and have only forced changes. Every team has a key forward that needs attention. Im fairly sure the coaches will have seen and liked what Schoey brings to the back 6 and will have big plans for him in the finals. I dont see him going out of the team.
Nelson has done an admirable job tagging the past 2 weeks (well week and 1 qtr) but as soon as Hutch and Duggan come in he (and a small forward) goes out of the team for mine. He has been solid in the back line but both Duggan and Schofield bring more.
Agreed after Miochek and Cox got a hold of us Schoey is a good player does his lock down job. All we need him to do

Somebody just phoned in to the rumour file on 6PR to say that Sheed won't be flying to Melbourne as injured his abductor at training?? Make of this what you will considering it is the rumour file but quite often the callers seem to get things right??

Is this the same person that abducted Cripps as well??

Sounds like Hutch and Hurn are back Duggan has a BEagles game in the WAFL Crippa is back next week presumably in the WAFL. Back our strength and conditioning team in to make the right call.

I've seen them 'make the call' quite a few times. The reality is training is nowhere near game intensity and when coming back from injury you build your training loads for sure but not to game levels.

Bring in too many players returning from injury is a risk. One we don't need to take with the players we have playing in form.

Also heard the sheed news on rumour file. They said yesterday they have an 82% success rate on rumours, not sure if they were trolling.

We'll see if Sheed travels

Another quirky is Bulldogs have 3 guys named Bailey there’s Smith ,Dale and Williams..

Jacko on 96 this morning said Sheed had a minor calf problem and wouldnt be travelling.

Sick of the eagles f*cking up my supercoach.
First Hurn late withdrawal, which nearly cost me a finals spot. Now Sheed.

If Sheed is out, don’t be surprised if Ainsworth comes into the squad and flies over

Some guy on a Eagles facebook group made a post last night saying Sheed did something at training yesterday and would not play. Same poster then said NN ahead of schedule, kicking at training and could be back a week before finals... [emoji848]

These soft tissue niggles suck but better to get them out of the way before finals. While I hate it from a spectator perspective, the pre-finals bye is great to try and allow teams to be at their best.

Pretty sure they can't bring in a player that wasn't listed as an emergency yesterday?

Most likely Hutchings comes in. Or Oallen pushed to a wing.
