Ok sorry about the bail thing, but I want you to seriously hear me out here ok. I not saying rivers is a bad player but it seems that every week we are getting scored heavily agaisnt and I think we need a change up and try something different. What I had in mind was to see how we would go with frawley, davis, mcdonald and sellar as the key backs. That means even dropping garland for a while but seriously dont you feel and others here that it would give us a new look and see how these two youngsters go anyway. Just a thought.

I heard you out and no, we shouldn't drop Rivers or Garland. The reason we get scored heavily against is because we allow 70 inside 50s each week which is down to our midfield. Troy Davis isn't ready and, right now, neither is McDonald really although the kid has a crack.

New look doesn't always mean good look. Rivers and Garland stay.

It's a vicious cycle we're in. We drop guys to the VFL, who then carve up there, then get elevated to AFL, stink it up, then we drop guys to the VFL, who carve up there, then...
Sylvia has to be dropped.
Jurrah will be out injured.
Jones might be injured too.
Moloney/Morton on notice, one probably dropped.
Dunno who to come in. Doesn't really matter it seems. Would like to see Taggert or Couch get a run if fit.

We get scored on by midfielders strolling into goal, it has nothing to do with our tall backs who do an amazing effort against massive amounts of opposition ball.

Agree, I can accept the defenders making some mistakes because they've been under siege for five years.

IN: Couch, Martin, Petterd, Bate, Nicholson
OUT: Jurrah (inj), Trengove ('inj'), Davey, Sylvia, Morton (omit)

Martin played Casey 2's today which I assumed was for match fitness, but then again Couch didn't play last week and he wasn't in the Casey side so who knows.

Can't see them picking a rookie off two weeks without a game but I hope they do.

Nicholson just to have a go, he's not much chop but at least he'll make it interesting.

Green and Bennell only survive because I'm running out of people to bring in.

Out: Jurrah, Davey, Moloney
In: Martin, Couch, Petterd (sub)

There is no reason in the world that one way Ricky should come back into this side.

For all i care he Brent and Col and take off on the footy trip now. And for that matter they can take Bail, Green, Dunn, Bate, Davey, Spencer etc etc etc with them.

Ok I mentioned on the defence how it needed changes but many here believe its more the midfield thats at fault. Well ok I will tell you my take on that, you are all right on the money there. And after some research I wonder what fellow people on here thoughts are on these changes. This being the midfield and being ins and outs of list all together. Keep: gysberts taggert evans blease mckenzie tapscott nicholson moloney jones trengove magner and couch Get rid : sylvia davey morton bate bail dunn.

Yep. I pretty much never blame our backs. Its like blaming the keeper in soccer for losing a penalty shootout. I rate our backline against most in the comp

well we don't have a functioning fwd line
0-0 score followed by a shootout maybe on the cards
will be an important win for somebody
has the feeling of not who is the better team on the day but who does not screw up as much
I made a joke earlier about Brock. That was before our defeat today. Post game and he is a definite in for us to replace Murphy. Now that feels weird!
Going to be a long week. Look fwd to some banter with ol comrades like wona and Biff.

Not sure whether it has been mentioned, but with Taggert injured and Jurrah out, gee we have had the worst run of injuries ever!!!! Im even sure that trengove is carrying a fairly serious injury (based on his movement) and also could probably miss a few.

As for changes, not sure who else to bring in....

Gotta find replacements for Sylvia, Davey and Jurrah.

Think they could probably give Martin, Petterd and Couch a run... See what they can do....

Out: Jurrah, Green, Davey, Morton, sylvia, magner (needs a rest I think)

IN: Martin, Dunn, Couch, Taggert, Davis, and dare i say Macdonald (play him forward)

Ok changes Ins: brock lesnar, michael jordan, lionel messi, rafael nadal and john cena, actual people with a never quit attitude, with commitment 100%,with determination, who are ruthless and physical. Looking at sylvia, morton, bennell, dunn, davey, green, petterd and moloney for example,I wonder if any of them actually have any of the key words above mentioned.

will be a disgrace if Couch doesn't debut this week

has dominated VFL all year, and he will have a red hot go.

Should have debuted 6 weeks ago.

Apparently Couch hasn't played the last 2 VFL games, so if he couldn't get in when he was playing well, then I dont see how he can get in by not playing... though I would love to see him get a go, looked good in the NAB cup, if fit should replace Moloney this week.

Moloney has to go sort his attitude out before the end of this year or we won't be offering him a contract I wouldn't have thought. A blessing in disguise when his manager stated they will wait until the end of the year to negotiate

I don't care who comes in or out of the side at the moment.

The only thing I want to see - is contested footy for 4 qtrs. The St Kilda game is still the only game this year we have been able to do it.

If we need to drop every senior player to do it - then so be it. I'd rather watch 18 - 22 Couch's and Magner's then the crap we have been serving up.

It's certainly bold considering he hasn't kicked a goal in five years.

I got an idea dont drop anyone. Im sick of the same BS. Our drop a dud pick a spud policy isn't working. Perhaps we should just give the same guys a crack 2 weeks in a row to try and give themselves ample game time at the top level. What do we have to lose, our dignity, sorry boys but you lost that in round 1.

I personally don't mind the idea. We certainly don't have anything to lose from trying it. With Watts floating down back and actually finding some footy maybe throw JMac at CHF. He can take a grab a give a contest - more than we can say for Green or Petterd. Well, Petterd can take a grab I guess.

At least we know he won't stop trying and will give a good contest.

Davey out, Bennell to stay and play a full game. He might be a spud but by god we're going to have at least half a team of spuds no matter what. Might as well go with a young and fast spud instead of an old and past it spud.

Rory Taggert assured me his back was okay via Twitter. I know, I know... What else is he going to say. But I'd love him to play this week and so would he.

Has been 2 games back since serious injury. Needs another 2-3 run in Casey.

IN
Couch, Nicholson

OUT
Moloney, Davey

Sylvia lucky but I'm taking slight account he was rushed back quickly.

In: Davis, Taggert, Martin, Tapscott
Out: Bennell, McDonald, Sylvia, Davey..

Mcdonald has a crack but hes kicking is absolutely horrible... if he's going to play... throw him forward and see what he can do as a CHF.
Really want Tynan back in but he wont be even considered until he's had a few at Casey so at least a month...

I'm not having a go at you, but hasn't Tommy Mc beaten his opponents easily in the last several weeks? From memory, he's beaten Reid, Brown and Reiwoldt in recent weeks. He's learning his trade down back and doing a great stopping job considering how often the ball is coming into defence. He stays down back for mine. Needs to work on disposal, but no one is moving for our backmen for them to have an easy possession.

Like last week, I'll say it doesn't matter who we bring in or dump, it won't make a difference to the result. But it's time Neeld looks to the future. It's time Couch comes in. Same with Nicho. We need pace. Would like to see Tapscott come back in as well for an extended period. And if Martin is fit, bring him in.

Keep Morton and Bennell in the team as they are still young. Yes, they have been crap, but I'd rather see Neeld investing time in the younger crap players than the older crap players. Wouldn't be upset if all 3 of Davey, Sylvia and Moloney got dropped. Saturday night was unacceptable from all 3...
