If wellingham misses this week because of injury it will be a shame because his first half last week was back to his early season form and he usually takes a game or two to hit form after missing matches. Let's hope he's in and there's only one change or two (shaw and/or presti).

Darn right. If he's taking marks a-la Richmond match against the Cats, we're a much better side for it. And some of the centre clearances he had in the first few games were soooo silky. Fingers crossed for the 'Boot.

I like him playing because he provides tough inside play which allows sidebottom to play wing/forward and beams to play pretty much half forward. When he has that aggression going he tackles hard and racks up the hard ball gets.

IN Shaw Fraser
Out Wellenham(inj)/Blair, Jolly (Rest)

reckon the first change is obviousish as for the second one reckn it would be good to rest Jolly and also means we have an ace up our sleeves if we meet again. Would like to see fraser given a chance to redeem himself in a big game his last chance for mine. As for Presti give him another week off can't hurt.

I have noticed many times MM take notice and great pride in our cheer squad banner. If Fraser was to return they (the banner makers) would get plenty of notice in my opinion.

j.mccarthy is a fair chance to get a gig.
has gone in for big games before.

Yep and generally played rubbish

Prefer to bring him back against an essendon or adelaide

The only thing that will save Medders is if his ankle is fit and he can increase his F50 tackling. Last year his turning circle was shocking and our game plan relies on F50 tackles. For me Macaffer fits into his role very well.

LOL! Wow, just wow...

Ladder says were first on current form...cant be that far off the truth when theres still talent to come back into the side

see you saturday champ ;)

I was referring to the "flag certanties" remark. Being on top of the ladder hardly makes you a flag certainty does it  Some would say typical but i'll bite my tongue on that one ;) Who are these talented players that you speak of? Fraser, Medhurst etc. are currently playing VFL as they are not best 22...

See you Saturday indeed, should be a ripper :thumbsu:

Medhurst is certainly talented, otherwise he wouldnt have been an all australian now would he ? Certainly if a position opens up he will be a more than adequate replacement

Presti still to come back into the side

Ditto Heath Shaw

But your right, being on top of the ladder doesnt make you a certainty but i think even youll agree that if you take a massive wave of momentum and good form into a finals series that it bodes well for that team (i.e geelong 2007)

I think youd have to agree that based on the last month or so our form has been second to none and whilst i think your cats are still the team to beat, i think we are in a very good shape at this point in time. A win this saturday will go a long way to boosting confidence coming into the finals for either team

Either NO changes, or Nate Brown for Presti. That is all. Heater to get another weeks rest. Its only another 4 point home and away game :)

If wellers is injured then heater for wellers and presti for n.brown. If wellers is fine then heater for goldsack and presti for n.brown.

Any outs are going to be unlucky but that's the way things go.

Cant see medders coming in this week, more likely to come in next week I think, would give him a couple weeks to get back up to speed before finals. Would probably come in for macaffer.

Fraser to come in next week as well, but not for jolly, for L brown, he could use a rest anyway. Its no good coming in for jolly and showing he can play as the lone ruckman, that is not his position any more. If Fraser has any chance of staying in the side he has to show he can play forward and backup ruck. Give him 2 weeks, if he doesn't show more than leroy in that time, then leroy comes back in and the spot is his for finals.

If he drops Goldsack I'll throw up. Medders for Davis (but it will never happen) Shaw for Blair (with a sorry note), Presti for Brown, possibly Josh for L. Brown.

Here you go Josh, 200 games and your career is on the line, show us what you've got. If he could play the way he did v essendon after Grant Thomas rubbished him and Jolly could play full forward for longer stretches could be a good option if Dawes gets bichslapped by scarlett. a few ifs in there i know. Just a thought anyway/

I dont think Mick will play the best team so i dont expect many changes this week. Id do one though, out blair and in Medhurst.
