Prediction Changes vs Hawks

I'm done with Hartlett, Broadbent, Westhoff and Boak. Especially Hartlett and Broadbent. Senior players that continue to serve up below average performances and can't get the job done in close games. Mentally soft and have been shown up by the younger players for some time now. We're essentially carrying these guys and I don't think we can do anything this year unless we address how little these guys contribute when the game is to be won. There are several years of form to draw this conclusion from. Just as the writing was on the wall with Lobbe, the writing is there for Broadbent and Hartlett as well. Any games they get from here on out are gifts.

As for Westhoff, I'm not even going to say much. Clearly has no confidence in front of goals.

That play-on snap around the body he missed was a desperate man at his wit's end.

I've given up anyway. The list of games where we have been robbed [or at least denied fair opportunity] has exceeded my tolerance levels. I could handle it if it balanced out over time, but it hasn't, and seemingly never will.

Anyone that pays good money and travels to see a game like that should get a refund. That's exactly why I cancelled Foxtel. I will no longer provide any financial support to this corrupt league.

I'll see the teams before deciding. With a 4 am wake up the next morning for work, I'm not willing to forgo sleep to watch the same players pump a poor Hawthorn side. I'll reward ruthlessness at the selection table with my bum on the seat.

Nah, no harm done. I am just saying I agree that it was a completely fair bump, but that you would be naive to assume that that has any bearing on the question of whether he'll be suspended.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he does get games for it. Nothing surprises me when it comes to AFL footy anymore. If it wasn't for my love of Port Adelaide I wouldn't be following it.

Actually... I want Palmer to get a string of games. I want to see if he is an afl player. Happy for Bonner and Johnson to get a game. Young and Ah Chee have had enough chance to be players. It's not going to happen. One of Broady and Hartlett needs to go as they don't have a role. sad panda.

If Trengove isn't goint to be played in defence again then I'd let all 3 of our free agents walk. Would leave a very nice war chest to target some needs - like players that can kick and that don't go missing in the heat. Remember what happened in the two seasons following the last time we let 2 free agents walk? I know it won't happen but I seriously hope it does.

Westhoff is Port Adelaide personified. Kicks amazing goals from impossible angles in Shanghai, but so mentally fragile that kicking goals from straight in front is an issue.

Drop him for Howard. Has similar attributes, looked the goods last year, and has the potential to improve without fears over his mental strength. Coming back from a reco is a tough thing for a young kid to do, and he's done it really well. Give him a chance.

If Wingard somehow gets up from his calf I'd give him a run, but I don't see that happening.

Boaky is about due to hand the reigns over I think. Let Ollie take over and focus on getting himself back to his best.
