Hasn't Goldstein been injured as well? The games I have seen recently he hasn't looked to be travelling that well. Maybe the bye was all he needs to be ok? Seems very sore to me.
yeah lycett needs to get physical. need to get in goldsteins head early.

Out: Cripps, Brown
In: Hill, McInnes

Would prefer Lecra to go but Simo seems committed to Keeping him in the team. Hill has played both forward and off half back - his versatility has been good. Cripps is just squeezed out.

Brown did not at all look confident up forward - McInnes was stiff to be bumped after only one game - and gives us more up forward. Brown will benefit from more WAFL time.

These suggestions are subject to how McInnes goes at WAFL. If he's a dud Brown stays.

Emergencies
Adamson (because it would be reward for consistent form)
Lamb (because you have to pump his tyres up a bit to get some trade value)
Lucas (because he seems to be an emergency for every second game)

brown had more impact in the ruck than mcinnis has. it doesnt matter if he losses the the tap but he follows up his efforts. Play him between the arcs his big and dangerous enough to get an oppositions bigman. Which results in jack getting a mismatch. He was going to be rusty playing his first full game in over a year. Just needs to work on his goal kicking.

Need to re consider after the WAFL tomorrow but right now I'd bring Hill in for Jetta and seriously consider Giles at selection due to the fact that Lycett will be coming up against Goldstein.

Would love to see the 4 in's from the Essendon game keep there spot for next weekend in particular Lycett, McGinnity and Nelson.

For mine still

In Duggan
Out Nelson ......yep I'll know I'll get abused again ...lol

Brown stays ...he's versatile

Ginners out .....hill in

You're welcome!

haha yes youll probably get hammered again dave123!
Ill try and mount a logical argument as to why I think you are wrong....

Assuming Duggo plays well for EP and Hills throat comes good.

Ginners kicked 4 and probably got brownlow votes , Hill obviously a better footballer but hardly a walk up start IMO, let him play EP and show us why ginners has to go.
Nelson, again you're probably right, not in the best 22 yet, but consider this - the kid didnt touch the ball in the first quarter and ended up with 9 contested possessions from 14 touches. This made him the 4th best CP ball winner in the team (behind Shuey 14/37 Pridda 11/24 Masto 10/33) . We lost to Adelaide, Cats and the dogs because we couldnt win the contested ball....... He will probably get dropped and Jetta will stay and at the end of the day it will make heck all difference BUT lets watch the contested ball numbers next week.

I get all that

But we played a VFL side

The opposition didn't put pressure on him at all either

I reckon ginners will play but wlll play average against Roos .....opposition pressure

I think Nelson will play so me wanting him out won't count for much

But if sheed, Duggan tear it up then surely th come in for mcginnity

It was eseendon people ..he got on the end of a few ...lets not get too carried away with it

Hey if we wants a trade we may have pushed ginners price up. Brown gives us a few options over EMac

Barrass in my view plays ...yup he will make mistakes but he's clean ....even this year he's gotten bigger in the weight room and he looks the business already. Is Schofield changeable for eMac ....hmm, no we need a running back men on our oval ...Schofield gets beaten in one to one contests but he's also a link man

Sheedys disposal class is what we need

Jetta I suspect may get another reprieve ...I have this feeling simmo wants to persist with him. I kind of get that and see the logic in it. He looks lost ....he off loads the ball with a nice handball but he doesn't follow up ...he doesn't try to receive the ball back ....is this work rate ? Or is it gameplan or is just not sure what to do or confidence ? And maybe west coast think it's one of the ones they can iron out

Seems weird you justify dropping Ginners/Nelson based on playing against a 'VFL' side but then you want Duggan in to replace them based on playing well today against a WAFL side.

Ok here is what I believe this

We have a chance at top 4 still .....our best 22 has sheed and Duggan it it ...if in half decent form

Ginnersis unlikely to re produce that form v Roos ....

We have seen sheed and Duggan produce at the top level ....they have evidence they can perform at that level against good sides

Whereas ginners and Nelson haven't shown us that ......in one game yes.

Do you seriously think ginners will play well v Roos .....? C'mon ...Loved the story. But really.

Sorry to say this as I really rate Duggan but Nelson showed more in the middle on Thursday than Duggan has all season.

Yes agree ....not sure Duggan is read to be an inside mid ...he's 19

Nelson is bit older ...body is more advanced .....but Duggan will get stronger

Duggan has footy smarts also .....Duggan will be a star .....needs time

I think Nelson will become a reliable workhorse mid ....there's room for both eventually

being serviceable against 2 injured ruckmen is nice and all, but not sure it's going to cut it against goldy & daw?
Giles still won't win many hit outs against those two and at least you get the follow up with Brown, he'll chase, tackle and harass.
He'd be better going forward too and should kick straighter after his first blow out.

As Sheed will be playing restricted minutes only with EP this weekend, think he may need another game or two with EP before being selected to play at AFL level.

Why do you love the idea of playing out of form players for in-form players ? Regardless of whether it was " just Essendon" or 'just one game' .

And I would be very very surprised if Sheed doesn't get at least two . Maybe three weeks in the WAFL

In Simpsons last press conference he mentioned Giles was better as a No1 ruckman and not a backup. So me it will down to Brown/Mcinnes as that extra forward target/ruck or we add an extra mid and have Lycett ruck with Gov helping out. If we go with option 1 Brown i feel competes better around the ground better than Mcinnes. If it rains on the weekend i say we should add Redden/Duggan depending who has the better game.
