Changes Vs Port

As long as the banner this week says 'UNLEESH THE MEESE!!'

Or a homemade fan banner, which will rival some of the best going round such as:

'Howzat Howat'- Richmond in honour of rookie listed Cam Howat

'Ooh Ahh Mark LeCras'- West Coast

'A-Dawe-Able'- Possibly the worst, Collingwoods Chris Dawes.

and my favourite when opposition cheer squads steal banners from another team. Once seen at Hawthorn, now a prominent fixture at Richmond:

'Cop That!'

WC will cop two awful pastings at the hands of Geelong and Hawthorn, so one win may be enough to avoid the Wooden Spoon.

Our for points are only 6 points different, it's our against points where the difference is. Our against points are 114 points higher then WC, so we need to win a game and have their 2 losses to total more then 114 plus whatever we lose by in the other game and we'll clearly get above them.

In: White, Garland, CJ, Petterd.

Out: PJ, Bell, Bartram, Wonnaemirri.

White and Garland to return. Dunn, CJ and Petterd all in the mix.

Out: PJ Frawley. Bartram, bell in the mix do be omitted.

Cant see why you would drop Frawley.

Did well last week, was great against Geelong and with every game he plays he looks better.

Frawley has not done anything wrong, would of been good if could got a bit more of the ball against WCE. Garland should be fit so Frawley makes way for him unless you wanna drop Warnock?

Maybe Garland can come in for Bell.

Port will be playing a pretty tall forward line with Beaker and Beaker II, white and at time a resting ruckman. So we could keep Frawley in and utilise Garlands versatility. Garland could probably take Megahead or Motlop, leaving the other 3 to take the talls.

The changes are pretty hard this week.

Would like to see Garland, Petterd, Dunn and CJ back in but don't know who they would replace.

Bell is really the only one i can think of, and PJ is injured.

I would also like to see Frawley continue holding Garlands spot in the backline (which he has been doing well), and try Garland up forward.

Apparently CJ is out for the season with a groin injury.

Weve got nothin to lose give Meeso a crack and bring in dunn to shut down cornes .
Garls also could slot nicely in our back 6.

HS has him on the injury list as out for the season

MELBOURNE
Lynden Dunn (virus) - test
Colin Garland (hamstring) - test
Jeff White (knee) - test
Adem Yze (knee) - test
Tom McNamara (hamstring) - 1-2 Weeks
Aaron Davey (heel) - season
Chris Johnson (groin) - season
Paul Johnson (hip) - season
Brent Moloney (shoulder) - season
Brock McLean (ankle) - season
David Neitz (neck) - retired
Jared Rivers (abdominals/groin) - season
Russell Robertson (Achilles) - season

I'd play bell forward before i put garland back there. he is just starting to be a great defender... why would you even think of switching him forward?

He's not going to somehow become a crap defender if he goes forward for a quarter or so, he started out as a forward.

As Dez said, Garland started as a forward, I think they initially wanted him to end up at CHF, but Bailey or Wellman must have seen something in him and decided to give him a go down back, probably trying to teach him the game.

With Warnock, Rivers, Martin, Frawley, Bell, Bartram and Petterd we are starting to get some guys who can play down back, and Garland represents the best forward option of that group (and arguably the best defensive option). He reeds the play well, has the perfect athleticism, has nice hands and can kick a goal. Remember Neitz also started his career as a defender. I think they have made the right decision bringing White in and dropping Frawley this week, but come next season who knows where players will line up at in the Nab Cup (PJ to CHF has already been rumoured, and he played there alot this year with Miller closer to goal).
