His skills have been poor in the dry but he's always been a good rainy day scrapper. Wouldn't mind seeing De Boer in either.

I'll admit I'm only 1/2 watching. But yes. I'm still not sure why he was even dropped. He was playing ok by the time we dropped him.

Yep. He's playing mid today and doing an amazing job of it.

I don't get how we can't fit Barlow in to our team as just an inside mid. Friggin WC use Priddis and plenty of other teams have inside mids with minimal outside game. Especially if we want Fyfe, Mundy and Neale rotating elsewhere on the field.

It's about the number of them I guess. Neal is the king of grunt ball play at the moment and we seem determined to develop Blakley in there as well. I guess RTB has a 'one inside mid' policy or some such?

I posted it earlier, I just can't understand how you can leave Clarke in and a player like Barlow out given the circumstances. Even if it settles a bit (and sounds like it wont), It's going to be slippery and a game with lots of ground ball. Just can't understand it. I guess there's still time for DeBoer to come in, I'll be amazed if he doesn't.

Short version: If Clarke plays tonight after not even holding Barlow over, I'll be making a bee line to the melt thread.

Extremely disappointed like many others that Barlow is kept out in perfect conditions for him. Fair enough if he is not part of our 2017 plans but when you have crabs like Suban, Clarke and DeBoer ahead of him it is nonsense. Play all of the kids including Collins, Grey, etc and tank probably if that is what we want to do. The selection committee is incompetent. Like Ross says "you play your way in, you play your way out" and "you write your own story"...so what did Barlow do today, Ross? win the Pulitzer Prize!!!!!! Barlow is a leader, bleeds purple and they treat him like crap.

Playing Suban ahead of Barlow is just stupid as shit. Suban is shit and has always been shit, and always will be shit. It makes no sense at all to have him in the team. Either pick the better player, or play one of the kids with promise.

Wet game. Lots of stoppages and tackles....so lets pick Clarke for his tackling skills over someone like Deboer
I can only think that maybe they think we need 2 ruckmen due to weather related fatigue?
