Those are the three options to replace Hurn. Rothams capacity to play on a taller opponent as Hurn does gives him the nod out of that group

I guess you could include Oallen and Brander in that list but neither are full time defenders and are both even less like Hurn than the three I’ve named

why not Josh Smith?? I hear he could play back as well. similar height to Nelson, better tank and kick than Nelson. Nelson has him over defensive duties though.

Only on exposed form with us is Nelson ahead- smith did play as a running back/back pocket with the pies. Hasn’t trained much this year down back so would be a lot to ask coming in.

He’s probably not a bad pick, actually. He does strike me as the kind of guy desperate to prove himself.

He’s an option as he has played back but he’s predominantly been used as a midfielder at west coast. Fair bit smaller than Nelson (6cm and 8kg) so not convinced he’s a suitable replacement for Hurn

Hickey and Rotham is my prediction.

I’d like to see them do something more creative than two rucks, but don’t think Vardy can do the whole game himself.

No Brander in the emergencies so Figure09 has to delete his account, happy days.

Just can not see us coping with one ruck but on the SCG two seems overkill. Sinkers can be dangerous up forward.

It could be an Ah Chee type game - but Cameron is very interesting
