Best to match him up on Jack then. Barrass is more a full back than a CHB so Jack may try to run him about. Jack is best at judging the marks with his leap and less on muscling an opponent off the ball.
spare me the excuses already.. we had back to back 6 day breaks the last few weeks and that included a win against essendon(no biggie) and then the win against freo away. lots of excuses already from eagle fans..Our three decades of history tell us differently 6 days breaks always hurt us.
Especially considering the hours we spend on a plane.
Mean nearly all the players dont do track work during the week as there concentrating on recovery.
We generally start games slowly in the first quarter after six days break.

IF The Gov is able to get up but not a 100% we could bring in Barrass to help him out. But do we lose some run by dropping a player for him?

Yes you are right. Richmond have got it tough and this on the back of the Tigers having to travel across the country every second week.spare me the excuses already.. we had back to back 6 day breaks the last few weeks and that included a win against essendon(no biggie) and then the win against freo away. lots of excuses already from eagle fans..
I do not think it will happen but I would support Barrass for Ellis given Gov OK to play.Drop Ellis for him.
Horses for Courses
Drop a small defender for a large defender.
dusty doesn't need to talk, you'll watch him weave around your blokes friday nightYes you are right. Richmond have got it tough and this on the back of the Tigers having to travel across the country every second week.
And the added complication of their players not having the brain power to fill in that air time. Can you imagine having to talk to Dusty for four hours.

you get 10 games a year with the most advantageous home ground in the comp, we only really have a home ground advantage a few times a year when we play interstate teams... and surely travelling every 2nd week would make you a better travelling team than a victorian one who doesn't travel enough?Yes you are right. i just find it funny that all west coast fans are mentioning 6 day breaks... 5 day breaks i could understand but 6 day breaks? You are right though, pressure is all on us, this is a game we should win and have no excuses if we don't. See no excuses.Tiggers fans don't like the pressure being on them so they're trying to brush off the six day break talk.
This will be our third game in 12 days including flights from Perth to Tasmania to Perth to Melbourne against a team coming off a 14 day break. It's not an excuse, it's just a clear disadvantage. In saying that, I still think we're a big chance because I think West Coast are a better side and Richmond are known for losing these kinds of games.i just find it funny that all west coast fans are mentioning 6 day breaks... 5 day breaks i could understand but 6 day breaks? I cant believe you have any confidence at allI think of Richmond as the AFL's Wacky Tourists , they are good spirited but never really a Premiership threat in recent times .....
Having said that , they are favourites against us and am hoping for a good win to West Coast ....but not overly confident .
I did say you had it tough.you get 10 games a year with the most advantageous home ground in the comp, we only really have a home ground advantage a few times a year when we play interstate teams... and surely travelling every 2nd week would make you a better travelling team than a victorian one who doesn't travel enough?
that home ground advantage alone should see you win enough games every year to play finals.
I remember a few years ago every team coming off the bye lost, we were in form, I would have preferred not to have the bye and keep the momentum going. Of course you think your side is better just like I think my side is better. We'll see what happens friday. This will be our third game in 12 days including flights from Perth to Tasmania to Perth to Melbourne against a team coming off a 14 day break. Tiger fans are up and about. Usually a good sign for their opposition.

Funny the last 4 clubs supporters said the same thing
Jokes a side, with McGovern. Would be best you leave him out of the side if he is injured or 80% fit. If you play him hurt, i could see that playing right into our hands as if he gets Jack, jack will just run him all over the place to break him down. That would not work if he was fit.
We may play Schofield on Jack.
An 80% McGovern will be better than Barrass, but they will just have to weigh up the risk I suppose.
FWIW I think the tiges will win.
I cant believe you have any confidence at all
The Gov a likely out, 2, 6 day breaks and Richmond in form off of a bye and I'm expecting a comfortable Richmond win by 15 - 30
